Orcelito Noctircus | Open
“I demand to speak to the person responsible for this!”
There is His Highness, in the full splendor of his jeweled coat but without any of the normal genteel manner. His fists are clenched and his eyes are narrowed, and hopefully he looks angry enough to cover how frightened he is.
Mere minutes ago, he awoke to a dismal room, in a crude excuse for a bed, with all his clothing missing save this uncomfortable and depressingly dark coat. His retainers are nowhere to be seen and there’s not a servant in sight.
Someone is going to answer for this affront.
“You there!” Orcelito calls to the first person he sees. “Where am I?”

This is not what he expected to run into on when he left his rather empty house. Then again lately it shouldn't surprise him the Tree did like to through things at them from time to time.
"Orcelito, isn't it? Your still trapped within the Tree."

But at least the boy knows his name. Good. Everyone should the face of the second prince.
“Tree?” Orcelito scrutinizes the great round room. For a moment, there’s a hint of hesitation on his face – as though it almost makes sense but not quite. “It does look like a tree, but that’s inconsequential.”
He steps closer, in the drawn up and pretentious way of royalty. The boy is taller than him, but Orcelito isn’t about to let that affect him. “Who are you?” That was a command, not a question, with just a hint of leniency.

While Hakuryuu can't remember if Orcelito arrived in the same group he did, before or after, it was fairly close. This does put Hakuryuu on guard, if the tree is playing with minds again...or that was the Violinist the first time? Either way, it's not something to take too lightly.
And Hakuryuu frowns. He's seen and dealt with royalty for as long as he can remember, it's always been a game of acting one way, saying one thing and meaning something different from both.
"Ren Hakuryuu."

He’s trying to convince himself that’s the truth, because it is the only truth that makes sense right now. He would never just… forget months, would he?
He wants to yell and demand answers. But he observes Hakuryuu’s demeanor and realizes that would be brash. This situation is too bizarre to meet with force, and there’s a nagging sensation that he’s missing something important.
“Your name sounds familiar.” Orcelito tilts his head, puzzled. “You addressed me as though you know me personally. Why?” Only a few call him by his first name. But surely he’d remember this person if they’d met?

I believe you also make the paper for the people here?"
Hakuryuu has not made great use of that yet, but he's pretty sure that messages went up about it. He's not sure he remembers the jacket, or if Orcelito had immediately switched to the leaf tunic.

"Have you forgotten?" she asks, furrowing her brows. Is this a spell? She's not sure. Arturia does not feel any different, except she looks fairly unlike she usually presents herself. She's picked her hair in a more feminine, high ponytail. The surprise in her face is also another indication because she's more effusive than guarded to show her emotions.
"Orcelito. You have been in this Tree longer than I have."
A memory curse?
no subject
Oh… she’s dressed far too peculiar for a servant. Actually… she’s dressed rather unusually for a woman. Orcelito struggles to regain his composure.
“F-forgotten what?” Embarrassment trips his words. But he does manage to look at her with only a faint blush. And that lasts only a moment as his expression turns startled at the address.
“Who are you?” There’s clear displeasure in his raised voice. What gives this stranger the right to call him by name?
is it my tag at the queen? I don't know the order
"Hm. This place, it seems, and who I am," she says, frowning slightly with matching displeasure. Her green gaze studies his reactions. He doesn't have a visible mark or signs of anything unusual apart of his missing memory. "That is all right. I shall investigate who is behind this curse and break it. Do not worry, I will protect you."
She gives a solemn oath, folding an arm against her chest as a chivalric gesture. Her face lightens up, joyous to be of help. She wants to keep them safe and happy. She tries to defuse his fear by giving him a strong, reassuring smile.
"I am Arturia. Along with you and some others, I have been brought to this place. I am also your neighbor." She turns, making a quick head motion in the direction of her housing.

His elder brother is the only one to hire female soldiers, but those aren’t the appropriate colors or uniform. Judging by the quality of her attire and her mannerisms, she must be associated with a noble house. Perhaps she’s from one of their allied countries. In which case, is it acceptable for her to swear to protect a prince from another kingdom?
He turns to face her fully, recovering his tall confidence in response to her gesture. She may have addressed him too familiarly, and he doesn’t appreciate the suggestion of being under a spell (for the spirit over the Noctircus royal family is said to protect them from such things). But it seems she means no harm.
“Miss Arturia, you don’t appear to be from Azelprade. What country do you hail from?” He’s still authoritative, but more brisk than upset.

"I hail from Britain," she answers him and quickly adds, "This place is located in neither your homeland nor mine. We cannot leave it by choice, either. There is a mist that acts as a barrier in the vicinity. We cannot cross beyond that." She anticipates that kind of question. It's only expected of him to be suspicious and eager to leave. "A being called Guardian brought us here. They communicate with us through riddles and quests." That's what they have learned at least. That's when she stops to gesture toward the golden-bathed opening in the middle of the tree.
"I could escort you outside if you wish to see this barrier and corroborate what I say."

Even stranger was the question he asked. Didn't he know? This was the fairy tree, where they had all been living since the spring! Still, she could answer it for him and see if that helped. "You are in a tree, Orcelito-san."
Yes, that ought to do it.

servantcitizen to approach him.“I-I know it looks like a tree.” He stumbles over his words as his gaze moves from her face to her neck and then her skirt. And then he’s looking away to hide a painfully intense blush. She’s young but… shouldn't she at least wear a scarf? What is this place, that allows the ladies to dress so... insufficiently in public?
“An-anyway, if you could… direct me to the person overseeing this property, I would like to speak to them.” He means yell at them, of course.

"That's a problem, I'm afraid," she said, sounding bemused. "Sir Guardian only talks to us through riddles, and, well--he is the tree." So in a sense, Orcelito had already seen him. "Are you feeling quite all right?"
no subject
“I don’t understand. You say there’s a guardian watching over this place, but you also say that this building - this tree is called the Guardian.” People here tell him the oddest things. He’s finally stopped dismissing their words, but he still can’t understand why they say what they do.
“I feel fine.” He might be drunk, hallucinating, or dead, but he feels fine.
no subject
She wasn't sure he was telling the truth about feeling fine, though. He still seemed embarrassed for some reason, although Fuu couldn't figure out what it was. "If you're certain--there are some water wells on the lower level, and they're quite clean."

Have fun dealing with a cat girl with purple faerie wings, Orcelito. X3
"You're in the Tree, just like the rest of us," Kit said, sounding a little concerned. "Are you feeling OK, Orcelito?"
I warned you XD;
“S-stay back! Get out, fiend!” His anger comes back in a roar and his hand moves to his left side where his sword should be. It’s not there. Panic strikes. He risks a frantic glance around. Where are his guards?! Honestly, he has no idea how to deal with monsters – the soldiers protect him from creatures like this. And while the royal family is allowed to keep some creatures as guard dogs, they have no experience hunting them in the wild. He didn’t even know some of them could talk.
Oh dear... XD
Unsure what else to do Kit, opts to try and calm him down. "It's OK," she says gently. "I'm not gonna hurt you. So just take a deep breath and try to calm down, OK? But I'm not a fiend, and I'm not going to get out; I'm a cat, and I have just as much right to be here as you do."
Way to go, Kit! You tell him. XD
And it does not change the fact that he’s been moved to a strange location, disarmed, and left alone. His heart is pounding as he tries to comprehend the implications.
“Here?” He demands, regarding her intently. He maintains an aggressive stance to hide the looming sense of dread he’s feeling. “Where am I? What has happened?”

Laaaate tag but seeing the thread with Kit I couldn't resist!
"The tree, of course."
Which, in turn, means giving Orcelito a perfect chance to see the vampire's slit pupils and fangs.
This is too good to pass up!
A passing glance registers only a boy around his own age – albeit quite a pale one. Before Orcelito can reply, he gets a closer look and a sharp intake of breath marks his surprise. His gaze moves to take in the pronounced canines and narrow pupils, and then immediately to the hands and fingertips. And that leads to what is surely the most logical answer to this absurd situation.
“You… you’re another cat?” He asks, bewildered. “How many like you live here?”
It really is!
no subject
“You are a cat too, aren’t you?” He gestures with a hand in the direction of House 12. It seems to be common knowledge that Wily-Kit lives there, so the reference should be obvious.
