LIGHT

Warmth, love and kindness.
The Life Stream glimmers and glitters with joy, swirls of shimmering dust dancing around the ray of life.
It was time for new ones to test their wings.


One by one, new adventurers now arrive in the Tree. As one gain wings and rises to the second floor, another light brings in the next person. Soon, a steady stream of people from all kinds of worlds, times and realities come to join the others. Whether confused, angry, excited or scared, your arrival is welcomed with nothing but joy as the fireflies and glow worms descend to greet their new friends.

The Tree offers no explanation and no reason, but the truth is undeniable.

As you will soon realize, it isn't easy to be tiny.

It's a complete mystery.

[Yoshitsugu says pleasantly. For some 'mysterious' reason he has found himself thinking of Fukushima Masanori; a samurai whose gullibility had made him a source of endless entertainment in the past.]

There are many of them around, aren't there? Look at how many of the villainous creatures are sitting at the feet of others.

[He points around the room. Look at them, doing evil things like cuddling up to the legs and lighting the place up!]

[Naotora takes a quick look around the room, appalled at how many of the creatures there are. It's nothing she can't handle, but no one else seems even the slightest bit distressed by them. Are they being taken in? Fooled somehow? Controlled somehow?]

What on earth are they after?!

[None of this makes any sense.]

[Is this really happening? Really?]

Who knows.

[This is almost certainly going to backfire horribly on Yoshitsugu at some point. He knows it too, but when the flow drops fun like this right into his lap it's impossible not to enjoy himself.]

But be careful. Attacking them directly might bring down the wrath of all who are enraptured upon you.

[That's a level of strategy that she's not exactly prepared to contemplate. What's she supposed to do under those circumstances?]

Are you saying that it's too dangerous to free them?

[She points at him accusingly.]

If you aren't part of the solution, you're part of the problem. How do I know you aren't the one behind this. You look suspicious enough.

[With your silly hat and your hidden face. What need is there to hide, hm? Very, very suspicious. She should have seen that earlier.]

[The ominous air drops, and now he sounds almost... cheerful?]

[Naotora, hmm? Probably a coincidence. The Naotora Yoshitsugu knows of it... not like this one. You could dub them both honest and straightforward in some way or other, but that's about all for similarities so far.]

I believe that. Only someone pure and true could believe a creature like this capable of devious plotting.

[Yeah, he's still poking fun, still deeply amused. At this point Yoshitsugu actually kneels down and pats the firefly. It begins to glow.]
