Glimmer, glitter, shine...

LIGHT
Warmth, love and kindness.
The Life Stream glimmers and glitters with joy, swirls of shimmering dust dancing around the ray of life.
It was time for new ones to test their wings.

One by one, new adventurers now arrive in the Tree. As one gain wings and rises to the second floor, another light brings in the next person. Soon, a steady stream of people from all kinds of worlds, times and realities come to join the others. Whether confused, angry, excited or scared, your arrival is welcomed with nothing but joy as the fireflies and glow worms descend to greet their new friends.
The Tree offers no explanation and no reason, but the truth is undeniable.
As you will soon realize, it isn't easy to be tiny.

Wyrden Aisling | Freedom Wars
[ Being a Sinner meant that one had to adapt quickly. Very quickly. It takes her less than a minute to realize that no one else had Accessories in this place - and that this isn't her Panopticon anymore. She was somewhere else. The Casket, perhaps? Was this another quest that Simeon had given her? Possibly. Then, there probably is something she needs to do here.
Her wings are folded against her back, obscuring a black box strapped to her waist - but what would draw the most attention would be the red-coloured coil on her left arm. There is a man with ice-white hair beside her, who looks human except for the fact that he is approximately three-fourths her size.
She seems to be spacing out for now, simply staring at the glow-worms and fireflies floating around. One even lands on her non-Thorn arm, which she then raises to eye level and inspects. ]
Ramiel, scan it.
[ The man beside her is silent for approximately three more seconds before he replies. His voice is fluid, but evidently synthesised. ]
Carbon-based lifeform detected. Classification unknown.
[ If it means something to her, her face doesn't show it. ]
b;
[ For someone who has wings, she isn't quite inclined to rely on them completely. She can be found zipping around the tree using her Thorn as a grapple, propelling herself from wall to wall with startling efficiency. Once in a while she would use her wings, but they are used more to give her extended airborne time than anything else.
She is quite fast, so there will be a chance of colliding if you don't move out of her way quickly enough.
Ramiel is on the ground, jogging to keep up with her. He seems to be able to navigate the tree despite having his eyes to the sky all the time. ]
c;
[ It's taken her quite a while to get oriented around the place, and - it is tiring, honestly, especially for a person who was grabbed right in the middle of a mission. And since she is so very used to minimalist efficiency, she just crashes straight onto the floor. Her belongings are in her Will'O Drive, used as a simple makeshift pillow. Granted, it is an out-of-the-way section of the corridors, but it is on the floor nevertheless.
As usual, Ramiel keeps watch. And by that, he simply stares at her while she sleeps.
It's totally not creepy, okay.
Totally.
Right? ]
b aaaayyyy
She's managed to find herself a neat little perch up near the Lifestream hole in the roof of this floor, and is currently, uh. Dangling off of it via her powerful legs. Is it cheating when she's clumsily flapping her wings to try and keep aloft? Probably. But the point is she's there, and she's watching quietly until they're close enough that she doesn't have to yell.]
...Exercising boyfriend, hm? Good way to manage them; will have to think of this in future. [And just to emphasise her point, she points dramatically down at Ramiel, before cheerily waving at him. Haha, suck it wingless wonder.]
BEEEEEEEEEEEE
Nice of you to put it that way. [ She says this with a short laugh, looking marginally amused. ] 's a pity, though. He can't fly. But we'll figure out something.
[ Ramiel is still down on the ground, looking up with his usual flat expression. ]
RIDE A BEE JUST FUCKIGN RIDE A BEE
[The worst part is that, when she says that? Completely deadpan. What good here is a man if he can't fly? Not that her attention focuses on Ramiel for very long; after staring back at him for a few seconds, she shrugs and turns her gaze to Wyrden instead. She's much more interesting, after all.] Lucky of you, to get someone from home to come with. How did you manage such a thing?
And what is thing you use to climb? Much more efficient than hands, I see.
BEEEEEEEEEE
Ah, the luxury of coming from a world that was not scarce in resources. These people really have it easy. ]
No idea, honestly. [ She shifts a little to make herself more comfortable. ] But then again, he follows me everywhere I go, so I suppose he'd manage it somehow.
[ At the mention of her Thorn, she gestures towards it with her free hand. ] 'S a Thorn. Standard issue equipment for us, see. We fight giants, so we'd need devices to help us jump and maneuver.
[ It totally makes sense, okay. ]
Really useful, too. Can heal you if you're down. Usually I do offense duty, though.
CALM DOWN OPRAH
Sounds like pest instead, hm? Could try to help with problem; have had this happen to me also before. Nothing good thumping cannot fix--
Oh? Giants? [Now this is intriguing; with a soft grunt, she pulls herself back upright and promptly gets to fixing the fluffy mess now on top of her head.] Big as dragons? Or bigger? Hate fighting dragons. But something this size...Must be exciting. And lucky that equipment heals too; only have Mere for healing now.
...Well, did. Have nothing now, s'pose; lucky you. Offence is hard position to take at times.

Huge is huge. Five human-lengths, up to ten. They're kind of like human skeleton machines, very fast and very strong. So we'd need to be fast and light.
[ How does one explain abductors. ]
If you get hurt, I can heal you. [ Or try to, at least. ] If you're intending to go to any dangerous places, lemme know.
no subject
Or maybe it's just Chora being a loser; she's clearly more than a little excited about discussing GIANT THINGS TO KILL FOR PROFIT, hands working even faster to flatten down all that flyaway hair and legs merrily swinging away.] Could be dragons, if had children with Garlean machinery! Fantastic! Am good with being fast and light; cannot afford to be weighed down, when need to fight close.
...Sounds like would love to fight such things, especially if can have healing. Fight on own usually, but for big things...Needs teaming up. Could be fun, fighting with you and seeing Thorn in action.

For us, it's necessary. They come and steal our people, steal our food. [ Gross. ] 's usually work for us, but the more adventurous type do it for sport. There's even a ranking of how good you are at downing them.
[ Not to mention that she's kind of near the top, but details. ]
If there's anything big we'd need to take down, I'm game. [ She didn't quite have any other skills, so... ]
no subject
[Hell, it's why she became an adventurer; no one ever mentioned the pooping in holes or repeated dying part, only the songs and riches part. But it's necessary work all the same, whether you fight giant robots or bandits attacking refugees.]
Alright, is pleasure to join forces! [Cue 'Terpsichora has joined the party!' message across the screen here.] Never hurts to know who to round up for fight when civilians scatter, haha! May even play nice with, ah. Friend. To make things easier for all, 'course.
no subject
They both aren't exactly standing up parallel to each other, so she decides to save the handshake for later. ]
Thanks. I'm looking forward to working together with you.
[ She casts a glance downwards at where Ramiel was waiting before continuing. ]
It might look peaceful now, but I don't think it'll last forever. We'll have work sooner or later.
no subject
'Course; all places have undercurrent that needs destroying. Best part about job; will find employment everywhere, haha. Everyone wins with adventuring as trade; money isn't bad, and can do small part to help those who need most.
Would be nice to have militia already here. Took load off mind knowing militia back home could help with actual threats...And who would be General, anyway?
no subject
But anyway. ]
Mm, that's true. So far, I haven't seen anyone who might be capable enough - or they've just not stepped up yet. I think acting by ourselves is enough.
[ After all, there aren't many people here. Not much to police, too. ]

A! :3
Back home we call them lightning bugs. And this is a glow worm.
[She indicated the worm draped around her shoulders like an odd scarf.]
They're not slimy or anything, so don't worry. In fact, this guy's nice and fuzzy.
no subject
I see. Do they produce electricity?
[ The firefly scuttles up her arm and starts nuzzling her. She jumps very slightly, but manages to keep still. If she gets shocked, she doesn't mind. She can easily heal off the damage. ]
no subject
Nope, they just glow. But the ones back home flash on and off the way lightning does. Dunno about the ones here though.
I'm Wily-Kit, by the way. What're your names?
no subject
I'm Wyrden. [ She learned not to give out her last name or codename - they mean nothing here, anyway. ] This is Ramiel, my android partner. He doesn't talk much.
[ That seemed the best way to explain Accessories' nature, honestly. ]
Nice to meet you.
[ Her expression doesn't deviate much from deadpan, but at least she gives Kit an appreciative nod. ]
no subject
[Slight pause, as she realizes Wyrden would probably have no idea what a Berbil is.]
The Berbils are some of our friends back on Third Earth. They're robot bears about my size who're really good at building things. And they grow candy fruit, which is just about the best fruit ever!
no subject
Haven't heard of them, sorry. [ What's a bear? She envisions little skittery creatures on four legs, that was what the word sounded like. ] But they sound like helpful people.
[ And productive, too. Good at building things, growing things... sounds like prime Citizen material to her. They'd be important. ]
no subject
They are! They fixed up the Thundertank, built me and Wily-Kat - he's my brother- hoverboards, and even made Panthro new arms after he lost his old ones fighting Grune.
They aren't very good at fighting though, so this jerk named Conquedor kept raiding their village to catch them and sell them as slaves. Us Thundercats took care of him, though, and helped the Berbils fix up their village with booby traps so they'd be protected if anybody else came after them.
[She sounds rather proud of this. Granted, her part in the whole thing was relatively minor but she had helped in the battle against Conquedor and his allies, so she figured it still counted.]
no subject
Well, I'm glad they're safe. [ It reminds her all too much of saving Citizens from being grabbed by the Abductors. ]
Do you know anything about what they make, though?
no subject
[Thinks a moment.]
Well, houses and stuff for their village, I guess. And machines for harvesting candy fruit. And new parts for themselves too, probly, since they're kinda robots.
no subject
How'd they do that? Like, the specifics? Do you know?
[ It'd be useful, but Kit doesn't seem like the engineer type. ]
no subject
Nope, sorry. I know what they do, but not how they do it. If Panthro was here, he might be able to tell you, though. He's good at fixing and building things too, and he's really good friends with Rober-Bill, the leader of the Berbil Village.
no subject
People like that exist in my world, too. They're called Citizens, and they're really skilled at machines. If one of them came, they'd be able to help us too.
[ No use for wishful thinking, though, so she just continues. ]
How're you settling in?
