| date/time | April 20th, afternoon

| location | The Entrance

| rating | PG!

| summary | Skull Kid explores his surroundings and tries to figure out flying.

[Option A: Exploring!]

[A full day wasn't enough for Skull Kid to really get a good grasp on where he was, what he was doing here, or even adjusting to his new size or location. He hadn't done enough exploring outside to really feel like his tiny size was a problem just yet - but he wondered if this was how Tatl and Tael felt.

He wondered where they were. When he woke up, he didn't see either of them and assumed they were nearby. But it's been a while and...

...they probably just hadn't found him yet, that's all.

While overwhelming, Skull Kid lets himself indulge in his new surroundings. The tree itself was big enough to explore, maybe there were other interesting things inside. He started at the entrance, where he found his night gem. It's currently tucked away right now, as he stands in front of the day gem, peering at it curiously. Out loud, he asks a question to anyone close enough to give him an answer.]

What's the yellow one supposed to do?

[When he picked up the night gem, it gave him big, fluffy wings. It startled him enough that he didn't even bother with the day gem, but now that he has enough time to poke at it, that's what he'll try doing first.]

[Option B: Flying!]

[As exciting as it was to have wings, Skull Kid wasn't used to them yet. But once he gets bored with bothering people, he decides to take them out for a spin. He's seen fairies use them all the time, so it couldn't be that hard to learn.

He starts off by trying to fly up the hole in the center of the entrance. He's got the wing flapping part down, but the sudden thump of him missing his mark, followed by him laying face down on the floor indicates he still needs a lot of practice. Or at least better coordination.]

Owww...
