Celena considered asking what Fuu knew before confirming her own knowledge, a habit left over from days where she trusted people far less, but she bit down on that urge and began to tell a story.

"Once upon a time, long long ago, there was a city on an island named Atlantis. The people who lived there were wise and powerful and they dedicated their days to understanding the flows of Destiny. They mastered this power and created miracles, even giving themselves feathered wings on their backs so they could fly like birds."

"However, the people of Atlantis grew arrogant, drawing on Fate's power without a thought. There was a reaction, a lashback as Fate sought to find balance once more, and Atlantis was consumed by fire and water. The people of Atlantis perished, except for those few who were able to fly the subtle routes between our two worlds. They came to Gaea thousands of years ago as refugees and wandered our world, leaving great artefacts describing their stories and memorialising their terrible mistake. Even now, a few descendants of Atlantis still live, born with the wings that mark them as part of that accursed race."
