Normally, Mika would just ignore remarks like that and go on his way. But that's just the problem--he can't leave this place, he's stuck here just like everyone else. With a bunch of people who, as far as he's concerned, have just as much reason to hate and fear him for what he is as he does to try to avoid them.

'Frustrating' is quite a bit of an understatement to describe the situation.

"I didn't ask to be brought here," he snaps back, irritation finally starting to show. "Besides, do you really think you could stop me?" After all, if he'd been out for blood, there's no reason why he would have needed to leave her be before.

"I'm not interested in human blood, that's all."
