Honestly, there isn't much for Mika to do around the tree. Vampires don't exactly need to eat (at least not normal food) and given how he's been keeping to himself, well, suffice it to say that even he gets bored of brooding eventually.
Which is why he's wandering around outside, despite the uncomfortable weather. It at least means he's less likely to run into anyone else, right...?
The blue cat, however, catches his eye. Partly because, well, it's blue, but also due to the fact that it's roughly sized comparably to the rest of the tree's unwitting denizens, and so probably isn't a normal forest creature. In so far as anything here could be 'normal', that is. Needless to say, Mika pauses and watches... and only stares all the harder as he realizes the cats paws are changing color.
