But my life is more than a vision--
| characters | Archer, Shirou, Rin, and whoever wants to join them in their endeavor. Feel free to tag multiple headers and jump threads within them!
| date/time | Monday, May 4th, onwards through the rest of the week.
| location | Outside the tree, near the mists.
| rating | PG for now, who knows later.
| summary | A complicated series of domestic scenes unfold as Archer, Shirou, and Rin set to work building a miniature kitchen out where they can have real fire, only to be interrupted by a storm.
It's been almost three weeks since Archer and Rin arrived in the center of the tree and gained their wings, only to be met by Shirou and Saber as well. That's just about enough time for it to dawn on those who might be concerned with the domestic details of day-to-day life that they have such a thing here, in between the confusion, the struggle to organize, and the fears of more giant spiders.
Archer's highest priority might be the salvation of all the souls around him, as much as he hates it, but bit by bit a new concern creeps up on him, almost unconsciously. Every time he serves Rin a subpar, barely-cooked meal, it pains him a little deep inside where he thought he was only hollow.
He decides to act.

That's an interesting ability you have, young lady.
[ ...he does not address what she actually said. ]
no subject
You think so? There's a lot of people with some kind of ability here. [She eyes him and the materials they've gathered.] What are you trying to make anyway?
no subject
Yeah. A lot of people...I might know a few of them.
[ He glances back at the piles of materials behind him. ]
We are creating a small kitchen. It's irritating to not be able to cook properly.
no subject
Can you actually get a fire going? There's something around the tree that keeps us from using any fire-based powers, and the other methods don't work either.
no subject
[ He gestures vaguely in the direction of where Eren got his fire going. ]
It's difficult, but it's preferable to having to listen to more complaints about the food.
no subject
[It's not firebending, but being able to have any kind of fire is appealing enough that it doesn't bother Korra too much.
She grins a little.]
One of your friends? The nuts and berries do take some getting used to.
no subject
[ He raises a brow, looking oddly surprised by her choice of words. ]
I wouldn't say that. She is, I suppose, a possible ally. That's all.
But I doubt she'll ever get used to nuts and berries. She was sadly spoiled back home after a long period of deprivation and I doubt she has any intention of going back to how it was.

I guess eating something straight like this, without any kind of cooking is definitely something different. Or is it because it's all vegetarian?

Back in our world, some idiot befriended her and fed her home-cooked meals three times a day for two weeks. It was a serious mistake.
