[Orcelito has (presumably) been healed enough to climb to his feet and retrieve his Night Gem. He stands still taking in the situation for a moment. Kit’s idea is working… thank heavens it’s working… they can still recover from this.
He strides to the Night stone to add his gem to it. He also orders those who were in the line,] Everyone, please bring your gems to their respective stones. It’s… safe as long as we don’t cross the gems. And we need to heal the Tree immediately.
[Kit almost wilts with relief as the cracks start fading away, one by one. The only reason she doesn't is because then she couldn't keep her shard pressed against the Day Gem. Instead, she presses it against the larger stone harder as more people join her each at their respective stones.
[The more people that are holding their gems to the correct stones, the quicker the cracks heal - and soon the pretty crystals are whole once more, even if some of the deeper cracks has left the slightest bit of scarring.]
[After seeing Kit off, Orcelito directs his attention to those still in the room.]
We should take a break to discuss this. [He sighs deeply.] Clearly we... made a mistake. We will not do this again. And I don't want to put further stress on the Tree if it needs to recover.
But the riddle remains. Is anyone here willing to try to line up again, with the gems in the proper places this time? [Perhaps it's hasty, but everyone is gathered here and ready to make up for what they've just done. He's not sure how long they should wait, if at all.]

I am. [She steps forward and glances at the direction Kit went.] If possible, I would want to take her place. In case something happens, that child should not be injured any further.

Agreed. [If Kit lets Saber take her place, that is... Orcelito will strongly encourage her to.] We should gather more participants for the line as well. [Since people are already coming to see what all the fuss was about.]

When the ten of us lined up, we were even. More people have arrived since then. [Orcelito looks around, doing another headcount. Not everyone has their wings out, so he’ll have to ask one at a time. That will take a while.]

Are we certain we have even numbers? I never bothered to ask how many of us hold the blue and how many hold the yellow gems.
