Hello, everyone! You'll never guess what I've found!

[She doesn't give anyone time to guess, as the view from the amber immediately wheels around to face the mist. Or, more specifically, the ground near the mist, where some gnarled roots have broken through.]

It's ginger! I'm sure of it! It smells so nice... I was thinking that perhaps we could make tea! It's been so long since I've had proper ginger tea. And I think I saw some honeycomb on the branch where the food is, so we can add some of that, too! I'm sure the lil' bugs will help us heat up water. Oh, it will be so lovely!

Would anyone be so kind as to help me gather some ginger? There's more than enough for everyone!

I'll help you! [ oh he's had plenty of tea parties back on the second ship, along with a fair share of snacks to go with the drinks. he's always had fun during them and now someone's saying they can have tea here? sign him up! ] What do I do?

Well, these roots are so big that we probably won't need much. I think just cutting a few pieces off would do the trick!

Hmm, I don't have a knife... maybe we could find a sharp rock!

[ a sharp rock you say? he nods eagerly. ] I'll look for one! If I find one, where do I bring it?

They're near the mist! There's a lot of them so they're hard to miss!

[ he'll do his best not to get lost! ] Okay! I'm so happy we can have tea. Let's have a big tea party with everyone! I never had ginger tea before. Is it tasty?

It's lovely! And with a little honey it's even better!

Yay! Are there going to be snacks? Like cookies and cakes? [ nai remember where you are please ]

I'm not much of a cook, but I wonder if we could find someone who can make treats out of the food the tree gives us?

Oh, um... I don't know anyone. But I'll look for someone too. [ he just hasn't met them yet, that's all. ] I'm going to go look for a rock so I can cut the roots now, okay? Then we can have a tea party!

He's a bit big to be called a puppy now, but I don't think he'd mind. Give him attention and he'll be your new best friend.

[She tilts the amber to show her mabari, who perks up when the subject turns to him. He pads over and barks up at the amber slice, tail wagging away.]

Meet Garahel, my mabari. I'm Ivaera Surana, before I forget my manners.

Oh my goodness! Aren't you just the cutest widdle puppy-wuppy? Yes you are! Yes you are!

[She turns her attention back to Ivaera.]

It's lovely to meet you, Miss Surana! And Garahel too!

[That bably-talk makes Ivaera laugh as Garahel responds by barking excitedly again, then rolling over onto his back.]

Now you've done it. He'll want belly rubs as soon as he can get them.

All right, I'm going to grab a basket or two to help gather some.

I had the fortune to taste this drink during my time in Fuyuki. Its flavor is appealing, although I only drank the one known as 'green tea'. I am not aware how different it could be.
