Kit is heading back from the food branch with a chunk of honeycomb in a walnut shell bowl- she wants to try her hand at baking something, assuming she can get someone to help her grind up a nut or two- when she hears someone moving around on the floor below. Pausing at the hole, she looks down just in time to see a wolf turn into a person. And a completely unfamiliar person at that, which probably means he's a new arrival.

It's a mark of how unusual her life has been that the sight of the wolf shape-shifting like that doesn't elicit anything more than keen interest and curiosity. She sits down on the edge of the hole, her bowl beside her, allowing her legs to dangle over the edge as she observes him. She waits until he gets his wings, though, before greeting him, not wanting to disturb the moment.

"Hi," she calls down. "Welcome to the Tree."
