[The amber shows Saber's face. Her hair is still wet and dripping from her struggle with the fish, but her serious expression, hard gaze and cold voice is far more concerning to those who know her. She has never made this face since her arrival to the tree. Even if she has suppressed her ire, she is obviously displeased.]

Illyasviel. If you can hear me, we must speak immediately.

[She wishes to corroborate this and she's a day of journey away. Two Archer Cards and Gilgamesh mentioning them makes her draw the connection immediately.]

It is about that boy who stayed once.

Geez Saber, you look as if you've been swimming. [ Which is a funny thing to say even if she's not aware of why. ]

You had a boy stay over with you other than Emiya? That doesn't seem right. It's downright indecent to be sharing living quarters with boys you're not familiar with.

Rin. [ Her features soften when she appears uninjured so far. She would have preferred to journey together with her. She looks at her blankly and tips her head. ] That is impossible, because I do not know how to swim, I was simply splashed by a fish.

[ which reminds her of the incident and rin's question makes her stiffen once more. ]

[ She doesn't understand why is wrong to share living quarters with boys, she has shared tents with her knights and a room with her brother Kay. But that's not the point.

She wants Rin to be forewarned. ]

Weeks ago, I found a boy of about nine or ten years old sleeping outside our door. That is why I invited him to stay, he did not seem to be dangerous.

[ Her teeth grit at her folly. ]

I was mistaken. I discovered that boy I permitted to stay over is truly [ A pause for unknown dramatic effect for the reveal. ] Gilgamesh.

[ Rin's not entirely sure what the point of the pause was for, but she lets the news sink in. It doesn't surprise her to hear that there are other heroes from across time and worlds here with them--that much has been to them already. Nodding, she confirms it out loud. ]

The one in the Sumerian poems?

I can't imagine him as a boy, but legends have been known to be off about these things.

[ It isn't the only thing she is confirming. Speechlessly, Saber stares at the amber in confusion for a long moment. Rin's lack of knowledge of how Gilgamesh is supposed to look like means that she has never had to face him. ]

How could this be? You never faced him, Rin?

[ Her voice is low and tries to not divulge much, she's still unsettled at the possibility of a world where Gilgamesh was inactive. What could have happened? Someone of his might could not have been simply killed without anyone notice. ]

Faced who? [ Tilting her head a bit as she neglects her own desires to keep certain things a secret. ]

Gilgamesh?

No, I don't think he was one of the Servants summoned.

You are half correct with your assessment.

[ She looks tight-lipped to say more, she waits until Rin wishes her to speak more openly or not. ]

He is dangerous, Rin. He was our enemy. And he was certainly not a child when we faced him.

So what you're saying is in variation of the war, someone successfully brought in this guy and he was trouble for you? Geez...

I don't think he's that bad if he's a child right now. No doubt he's been brought in before he grew into his strength.

He was an irregular Servant from the last war. [ She shakes her head to explain this to her, feeling a little awkward when Rin has no idea of the problem they could have on their hands. She has no comment about the trouble he gave her, it just annoys her to admit it.

You do not understand. He is certainly a child now but he can utilize his Noble Phantasm! I have witnessed this with my own eyes.

[ And she doesn't want to like him just because he's an adorable child she just hurt. It's personal. ]

It troubles me that you're picking fights with children and your teammates while you're out though I suppose it can't be helped. That tiny bit of space with that many people can only give you so much room to stretch out your legs.

[ Yes, she's scolding Saber where everyone can hear. ] An irregular Servant from the prior war..? That's odd. Servants can't last that long without a Master.

I was certainly not trying to antagonize that child! [ Et tu, Rin? She looks flustered by the scolding. She has coldly severed ties with him and likely upset him.

But upsetting and rejecting Gilgamesh is what Saber does, she should not feel bad about this. ]

[ She breathes deeply. ]

He said that the contents of the Holy Grail poured on him and won his incarnation.

The Grail can do that? [ Feigning some ignorance as to not give away what she may or may not know about the Grail, Rin considers the weight of her words. It'll be all right to appear inexperienced in this matter if it would preserve the details of her war.

Plus if there was someone like that here who was familiar with the contents of that not-so-holy artifact..? Rin would have them to herself first.

This Gilgamesh may pose a threat to Saber, but to her? He was someone of interest. ] That's an unique experience that's worth investigating, don't you think?

Investigating the Grail here?

[ Saber sounds confused. The Grail is supposed to be destroyed, therefore it's futile to research its effects. Unless in Rin's world, the Grail still remains.

Nonetheless, she doesn't make the connection. ]

For what purpose, Rin?

[ There's still a lot about it she doesn't understand and if she's going to retrieve Shirou... ]

I'm a magus, Saber. Isn't it my goal to use the Grail in order to reach the Root of Akasha?

[ They aren't very close so she's sure she can use this as a way to explain her interest. ] Naturally that means I should study it any way I can.

[knight_king]

The Grail was destroyed, Rin.

[ at least as far as she knows, because Saber has never been aware of the existence of the Greater Grail.

Was it different in her Holy Grail War? ]

It is something that should not exist in this world. You surely know why already, I heard from Archer the mud exists. There is something in the Grail that is dangerous.

[gandere]

And how was it destroyed? [ Rin asks without pause, wondering how Saber knows of this. In her world, all of the Servants were nearly indisposed of at the end including Saber.

If she knew, would she be talking so casually about it over the amber? The magus doubts it. ]

[ She looks confused at the question. Has the Grail not be destroyed in her world? She shakes her head. No, that is impossible, it must be destroyed, but maybe Rin did not witness its destruction? ]

Rin. I believe this conversation can wait until our return.

[ She says, thinking it's better to speak of this in person. ]
