The heck? How am I even supposed to memorize that?!

[Nagi madly flips through his spell book, flopped out on a mushroom on the third floor, wearing his black shirt and pants. More like angrily laying on it, unable to keep this stuff in his mind long enough to memorize it. It took him years to memorize his lightning spells. Having to relearn to ice was just as difficult. And yes, his pronunciation was horrific and stilted in a way only a person with a English accent could pull off.]

Does Greek really need to be that hard??

Fine, next! Latin...

....god, I'm still bad at Latin too.

Immitte. Okay, I can remember that word. Immitte. Immitte. Immitte. Got it.

Maybe?

[He finally gives up, yelling loudly to anyone who can hear.]

Tell me someone around can speak Latin or ancient Greek! I'm about to die over here!

My knowledge of Latin extends only as far as being able to write out the letters of that script. Is it wise to share your magic spells around so freely?

[She winces, embarrassed to admit this]

I, ahh, I may have to be reminded how to pronounce all of the letters. It's a tongue from another world used only by Sorcerers and others who seek hidden knowledge. I was never given more than the briefest education.

Are you really planning to cast magic ice in here? [Having just heard this struggle of his, she's not got much confidence that he'd be able to control any spell he casts]

So those thousand spells you knew were all for different forms of lightning? [She frowned as she realised that number and his current struggle didn't quite tally] I assume they're easier to master?

[She huffs, offended] If you want me to draw a better conclusion then you ought to give me more to work off of!

(OOC: Feel free to ignore this if I've taken too long!)

I see. [That sounds unimpressive until she considers the implications for a moment.] Then again I suppose one doesn't more than one strike of lightning to take down an entire leviship.

[Celena goes quiet for a moment, her gaze turning inwards as she imagines a summoned lightning strike. ]

Does the lighting leap from you to your enemies or do you summon it from the skies?

[Either way, that sort of raw power would be formidable. She'd always been fascinated in that sort of weaponised power]

If you regain your powers, and when we aren't living in the middle of a wooden tree, I'd like to see a demonstration of that power.

Could you? I thought that was what you were struggling with?

[But she shouldn't be cheeky to a person with that sort of power. She presses her lips tight and forces herself to be respectful again.]

If you're able to rain down a thousand bolts of ice, then that could be invaluable. There is an ant's nest under the raspberry bush outside the tree, and if they came after us, their mouths are fierce enough they could bite off our limbs with ease.

You say they're not scary, but I beheaded an ant the other week when it came hunting for a woman and it still kept running! There are thousands of those things and their jaws are more than enough to tear chunks out of a person.
