[The voice coming through the amber shards sounds somewhat put-upon. He's angled his own shard somewhat away from himself, however, and his odd face is thus somewhat obscured.]

I never thought about how dangerous being so tiny would be. Animals are huge, even little fires damage a lot of stuff, trees can fall on you and you can't get out of the way...

[He sighs, perhaps a little overdramatically, and the half of his body that can be seen shifts around uncomfortably.]

I know it's been really hot lately. My ice magic still works, so I was thinking about trying to cool down the pool on the third...floor, I guess, or wherever it would be best...

[Finally he tilts the shard just a little bit more towards his face - enough so that one can see he's clearly addressing everyone, at least.]

Would that be okay? Is there a better spot?

I can conjure us more food, too. But mostly just bread. And muffins.

*you know, from the glimpse he gets, he really ought to find your appearance strange... but having been here some weeks now, he's somewhat resigned himself to the fact that things here are just weird to begin with.

[Yeah, don't judge him, vampire!!! Although Med'an really is weirder than a vampire, on paper anyway. He doesn't drink blood, though.]

I guess so, but that doesn't make it not terrifying. Did you see how big that rat was? I mean, in comparison to us?
