[The feed is basically crunching sounds and sharp, pointy teeth. For the first few minutes anyway. Followed by a muffled sound and the movements stopping.]

You heard me, I asked you what's that in your mouth?

[Fingers come into view, prying open the mouth full of sharp, pointy teeth and you see her. Glaring at whatever it was that thought it was a good idea to eat her amber. Then grabbing the amber, wiping it off with her blouse and examining it.]

Garchomp! How many times do I have to tell you, this isn't a berry! You of all dragons should know this. At least you didn't break it. You'de be sleeping outside if you did. I wouldn't even know how to replace this thing if...you...oh.

[It's activated. Her garchomp activated it...whoops.]

Oh I know! Chompy here is just a darling, and I raised her from a egg so she's super spoiled too.

Her? Nah. I just call her Chompy sometimes. Her real name is Garchomp, which is actually both her name and the type of creature that she is. Don't worry yourself about the specifics. Just know she won't hurt anyone.

Ah! So they are even common back where you come from, then? It would be nice to have something so cute and cool back home.

[ She'll believe her if she says her pet is gentle. ]

It's fortunate that she seems to have arrived with you. How lucky!

Very lucky. I'd go crazy without her, and she's probably go on a rampage without me.

Well, they're not super common in my hometown. Garchomps are mostly cave dwellers. It was a miracle that this one came to me.

Ah... I guess that's the stereotype, right? Dragons lurking in caves, and guarding vast amounts of treasures and riches!

You got the first part right! But most of the dragons from my home don't really collect hoards of gold and cast curses on people. They just stay there because it's easier for them to train, I guess.
