starting from the bottom
| characters | Shirou Emiya & Whomever wants to help with distributing the food and making a storage room!
| date/time | Backdated to April 23rd
| location | Inside the Tree, Second Floor
| rating | G (doubt that'll change but can shift accordingly!)
| summary | With egg & bacon in tow, Shirou tries to share what he can amongst anyone who may want something different from the typical food at the altar. They'll need to find a way to store the leftovers though.
The egg was good, the bacon still fresh- but they only had so much time before their efforts to pool together and gather these rare treats would go to waste. It was remarkable, seeing Saber take charge of the situation and showing authority that he couldn't help but admire. Ultimately, there was no time like the present to get started on what would be the beginnings of cold storage. It was going to put Shirou to the test if he had any plans of reinforcing the makeshift walls and whatever else they had planned in order to create something that could properly keep these items from perishing so easily.
There was also a matter of splitting up the supplies... There was enough here for a considerate amount of people though. He and whomever wanted to help could handle it.

"Mm?" Just as he was about to get started with cutting up the bacon, he heard the voice of the blonde Servant peer into the storage room now that the basis of it had been built up. All that was left now was to bring back Tohsaka later so that they could properly cool the area. Luckily for them, they still had time and the food wouldn't go bad so abruptly. Chancing a glance over his shoulder, he offers her a welcoming smile. "Good afternoon, Saber." She was keeping busy here, though they didn't even belong to this world. It was remarkable to see just how much of a hard worker she was when she wasn't conserving her energy for a battle. He could only hope to keep up with her and not slow her down. It was why he was hard at work between the storage room and helping with the food that they earned from the shop. There was more than enough here to help plenty of people who wanted some, including them. But speaking of food...
"I should be good for now, but..." Shirou approaches her as he chances a glance back to the bacon. "What part of the bacon do you think looks the best? I'll let you pick any piece that you want and that can be our part until the rest goes into storage."
Unfortunately, 'everything' wasn't a valid answer. But he knew how important it was to get the finest ingredients. Even if he decided in the end, when it came to food, it wouldn't have hurt to get her opinion considering how much she loved what he could make.

In the end, she had just protected her ideals.
She gazed at Shirou, firstly worried he was not pushing himself, secondly because the food he was handling was of her best interests, not just for her meal, but also for everyone else… She entered the storage and walked toward him with the same solemnity people do when they visited a sacred temple and pray to the shrine of deities. "Good afternoon," she greeted him as she approached until it was he who drew closer, she stopped then and waited for him. Maybe he did not trust her near this amount of food. It was ridiculous, she preferred quality over quantity.
"Ah? Which one looks the best?” she asked, taken aback and then shot a puzzled look at the bacon. "I have never eaten bacon, I do not have a basis to judge which one would be better." She tipped her head and decided to take the wisest choice. "The most suitable portion is the one Shirou believes is the best."
She assented, confident he would choose wisely.

When Saber answered that his choice would be the best one, he couldn't help but faintly laugh as if he was expecting her to say that. "That makes sense... We never did something like bacon and eggs for breakfast in the morning." Shirou typically went the extra mile and beyond when he did breakfast alongside Sakura. The thought made him smile; even if he didn't have access to as many ingredients as before, perhaps it'd be a welcome change of pace to mix up the palate. "I bet you'll like it though when we have it! It's very basic, but you can make it crispy or soft or inbetween."

“Hm, I do not know if we can make it crispy, even with the help of the fireflies,” she spoke, feeling deprived of the flavors her Master could managed not only by the lack of ingredients but also by the lack of cooking options.
