starting from the bottom
| characters | Shirou Emiya & Whomever wants to help with distributing the food and making a storage room!
| date/time | Backdated to April 23rd
| location | Inside the Tree, Second Floor
| rating | G (doubt that'll change but can shift accordingly!)
| summary | With egg & bacon in tow, Shirou tries to share what he can amongst anyone who may want something different from the typical food at the altar. They'll need to find a way to store the leftovers though.
The egg was good, the bacon still fresh- but they only had so much time before their efforts to pool together and gather these rare treats would go to waste. It was remarkable, seeing Saber take charge of the situation and showing authority that he couldn't help but admire. Ultimately, there was no time like the present to get started on what would be the beginnings of cold storage. It was going to put Shirou to the test if he had any plans of reinforcing the makeshift walls and whatever else they had planned in order to create something that could properly keep these items from perishing so easily.
There was also a matter of splitting up the supplies... There was enough here for a considerate amount of people though. He and whomever wanted to help could handle it.

Not that either of them were really worried about that just now. "That," Kit says, indicating the knife. "How'd you make it appear out of thin air like that? I've seen street performers pretend to be able to do that, but actually doing it would take real magic. I've just never seen magic that could do that before."

"Oh that." Very smooth, Shirou. "It's called Projection. It's kind of like you said. I just make it appear out of thin air using magic." That was only skimming the surface, to be frank. But he wasn't sure if he had to go into detail with somebody he didn't know knew a lot about it or not.

"Can you make anything you want appear?", Kit asked, curious. "Like could you make a whole house, or a boat, or a bushel of candy fruit? Or just little stuff you can hold in you hand?" Granted they really had no use for a boat around the tree, but it was one of the first large objects that came to mind.

Once Kit asked about the limits of his magecraft, he couldn't help but smile amused at her. It wasn't a silly question to ask, to be honest. He was the one who phrased it the way that he did. If she knew about anything that was supernatural in nature (her being clearly not human to his eyes was a giveaway that things perhaps weren't worth keeping under lock and key), Shirou didn't see any further harm. He wouldn't flaunt what he had, however. It was never his style of doing things.
"Sorry to disappoint, but all I'm good at is making things like swords. And even so, it'd probably take a lot of work to make a house or something." Was it even possible to do that? Surely it wasn't his own craft, but now he was probably going to ask a really stupid question to Rin later on, that he would either be laughed out of the house for or teased and forced to stay.

But that wasn't why she'd come here. "Anyways," Kit said, getting back down to business, "I'm guessing you were getting ready to cut up this meat to share with everybody right?"

"As much as I could, to be honest. We had to pitch in a lot to get the egg and bacon together. I don't think there'll be enough for everyone, but whatever's left can be stored up." A beat. "Would you like some? It should still fry easily enough."

"And since I don't think anybody wants just fat, I bet you could cook it down some and use it to flavor other things, like soup and stuff," Kit said, indicating the stripe of fat roughly in the center of the bacon. "That way you'd be able to get more use out of it and it wouldn't go to waste." Because you really shouldn't waste food. Especially tasty food.
