[A few conversations he's had lately have inspired this amber 'post' from Yoshitsugu. He's currently laying down on his bed in the room he shares with a myriad of interesting souls, face-up and holding the amber piece above his head so it can show his face (well, what little of it that is visible).]

The wish to return to your homes is normal, but it is frankly stupid to reject the opportunities for growth you can find here. Accepting them might not hinder you efforts, it might indeed help them, and the personal experiences may prove fruitful and useful for your future... whatever that future might hold.

[As is typical for him, however, he can't help but add something of a dark tease at the end; nothing about his tone suggests it is anything but serious. It probably doesn't take much thought to work out Yoshitsugu's attempt at humour unless you're exceptionally naive, though.]

Of course, it may be unwise to listen to the words of a ghost. Who knows how he might lead you astray?

[Blunt as ever. He doesn't sound judgemental about it, it's just his usual manner; not a person to put things softly, is Yoshitsugu.]

I didn't say going home was stupid, only that ignoring opportunities while you are stuck here is. Plenty of fools here seem to think that making the best of their situation would be some kind of betrayal, or assume that it will somehow hinder their efforts to return.

Like what? You're not dead. You have legs. You show up at all hours of the day. You're just being ridiculous and trying to scare the children.

[Naotora isn't afraid of ghosts, either. Or at least she thinks she wouldn't be, seeing as she hasn't exactly met a ghost. Possibly if she did, it would get this same treatment.]

It's hard to make progress on a mission when you don't know how to complete it. Has it ever occured to you that doing exactly as this 'tree' seems to wish might earn you a route back home sooner, for example? Not to mention the outright fact that flagging morale can affect one's performance.

[He closes his eyes and make a sound that is something like laughter, though it lasts no longer than a grunt.]

My 'life' has been spent. All I intend to do now is go with the flow.

[Yoshitsugu isn't going to argue the rest of it because it's entirely true and he's not ashamed, either (though he probably should be).]

You don't forget dying.

[...he probably shouldn't talk about a topic like this in such a nonchalant manner, either, but when you have his dark, bizarre and to most others completely unfunny sense of humour, this kind of ace up his sleeve is too good not to use.]

If you're here right now, you obviously didn't die. You were probably just injured and now you're trying to play up the drama for attention. You aren't impressing me at all.

[It seems her opinion of him is as low as ever. He didn't exactly make the best first impression and with Naotora, that's usually the only impression you get to make. Once her mind is made up, there's really not a whole lot anyone can do about it short of figure out how best to deal with the fallout.]

[Which is true, actually. He's not really ever cared about impressing anyone, which is probably (in part) how Yoshitsugu earnt his reputation for being so strange and hard to understand.]

Though it's impressive that you manage to approach life in a world like this in such a bold, straightforward manner. I'd almost call it cute.

[Watch as he gradually inches himself closer to a future in which he gets punched in the face!]

[Yoshisugu has Opinions about how everyone is handling that attempting, but doesn't push the point further. Mostly because he now has a chance for being needlessly dramatic; eyes snapping open, his tone grows dark and ominous for a moment.]

Ghost may mean something different in your world. Dungeon means something different in mine.

[Just like he doesn't believe Judar isn't dead at home. He can't be sure of it, but he had seen him flung away.]

I cannot explain how I can be here, but how much of this place can be explained anyway? There is considerable power in this tree.

[Assuming the tree is even involved. Not that Yoshitsugu is really worried about the why; it is what it is. His concerns are for exactly two people, one of whom is also in the tree and finds the 'living' state his friend is in more deeply affecting than anyone else.]

[The tirade probably would have gone on longer, but she has a tendency to gesture dramatically when she gets on a roll and she's managed to toss her amber slice across the room. It takes a while before her face appears in it again, but her scowl doesn't seem to have lessened in any way.]

[This is wonderful; it's practically impossible for Yoshitsugu to resist the urge to tease Naotara because of those dramatic responses. How could he, when she has the right mix of purity and temper that always nets the best responses out of others?]
