[Amber: 002]
[A few conversations he's had lately have inspired this amber 'post' from Yoshitsugu. He's currently laying down on his bed in the room he shares with a myriad of interesting souls, face-up and holding the amber piece above his head so it can show his face (well, what little of it that is visible).]
The wish to return to your homes is normal, but it is frankly stupid to reject the opportunities for growth you can find here. Accepting them might not hinder you efforts, it might indeed help them, and the personal experiences may prove fruitful and useful for your future... whatever that future might hold.
[As is typical for him, however, he can't help but add something of a dark tease at the end; nothing about his tone suggests it is anything but serious. It probably doesn't take much thought to work out Yoshitsugu's attempt at humour unless you're exceptionally naive, though.]
Of course, it may be unwise to listen to the words of a ghost. Who knows how he might lead you astray?

You aren't a ghost.
[Just clearing that up.]

[Oh, hello. That disapproval is met with complete calm and the most vague look of amusement somewhere in Yoshitsugu's gaze. Sorry, Naotara, he likes you in the same way that a cat enjoys a particularly fun toy; hit it in the right way and look what amazing thing it does!]
Certain qualifications give me full right to the title, you know.
no subject
[Naotora isn't afraid of ghosts, either. Or at least she thinks she wouldn't be, seeing as she hasn't exactly met a ghost. Possibly if she did, it would get this same treatment.]
no subject
[Yoshitsugu isn't going to argue the rest of it because it's entirely true and he's not ashamed, either (though he probably should be).]
You don't forget dying.
[...he probably shouldn't talk about a topic like this in such a nonchalant manner, either, but when you have his dark, bizarre and to most others completely unfunny sense of humour, this kind of ace up his sleeve is too good not to use.]

[Or maybe already has, he's not sure.]
So 'stupid' or not. I have to go home.
no subject
[Blunt as ever. He doesn't sound judgemental about it, it's just his usual manner; not a person to put things softly, is Yoshitsugu.]
I didn't say going home was stupid, only that ignoring opportunities while you are stuck here is. Plenty of fools here seem to think that making the best of their situation would be some kind of betrayal, or assume that it will somehow hinder their efforts to return.

[He grew up with Judar so minor slights are easy enough to shrug off. He doesn't want to admit this may last longer then a season.]
Are you willing to spend your life here?
no subject
[He closes his eyes and make a sound that is something like laughter, though it lasts no longer than a grunt.]
My 'life' has been spent. All I intend to do now is go with the flow.

excellentawkward.]Oh, I don't know, Otani-san. Wouldn't a ghost be most perfectly suited for such a spiritual journey?

[Awkward is right. Who even finds it funny, besides Yoshitsugu himself?]
I might be a malicious spirit hell bent on revenge or murder.

What if we're missing something important back home while we're here?
no subject
[Blunt as ever.]
Doing so won't help you return; it will more than likely hinder such efforts. Clouded minds and flagging morale will only obscure the answers that might be found if you remain open to your experiences here.

[Yoshitsugu sounds amused.]
I found the violinist rather fascinating, myself. Such a revealing being.

Is that so? May I ask what he revealed to you?

action;
Are you having fun terrorising the tree's populace?
[Since Yoshitsugu is using his amber slice, and radiating amusement...]
action;
Some things don't change, Takatora. No matter where you go.
[Yoshitsugu himself certainly doesn't, and there's always crowds of people who go against the flow despite how much harm this can cause them. Yet... he also knows that those kind of people are often the ones he is drawn to.]
[Hopeless. He turns his head to the side a little so he can glance Takatora's way.]
And a ghost will always be just that.
no subject
[He criticises with faux seriousness. But really, Yoshitsugu isn't one -- as far as Takatora is concerned, his friend was ressurected. Yoshitsugu currently has a beating heart and draws breath, and he's thankful for both.]

You don't look like one.
amber;
[Yoshitsugu laughs quietly.]
And that was before I had true right to the title.
amber;
So...what happened? I mean, you don't have to talk about it, if you don't want to.
[But she assumed at first that he wouldn't have mentioned it if he were uncomfortable with sharing.]

My life in my home was fully spent.

Sort of.
Which is what really matters.
