JOURNEY OF TWILIGHT

The fairy ship goes by the stream in what will starts as a rocky river ride to a smoother, deeper stream further north. After a few hours, the stream opens into a large lake full of water lilies and reeds, creating a beautiful labyrinth. Here, the deep water is very clear, shimmering fish curiously following the ship.

The adventure begins!

Oh, right, Pitch does spend a fair amount of time under their beds. He hopes he’ll avoid the house while they’re away, for Riona’s sake. But the mention of a note brings a smile to his lips. Yes, Kit would think of that.

Since she told him to wait, he does so, balancing on the edge of the railing, wings folded to avoid catching the air. Pillows huh… right, they’ll need those too. He has never made up a bed away from a house, and he finds the details elusive – unfamiliar. The excitement of the journey is briefly eclipsed by hesitation. This will be his first time sleeping outside of the safety and comfort of a house. And it’s not just sleeping in the open that concerns him, but also potential battles and troubles down the river.

He shakes out his wings. The entire voyage is one great unknown; he shouldn’t spend time worrying about one little piece of it or another. He’ll just have to keep walking forward and trust that he can manage all that comes his way. His brothers did it just fine – so can he.

Kit ducks into the cabin, setting down her bag next to Orcelito's and leaving Joe to contentedly curl up between them, then quickly returns to join Orcelito, hopping up on the railing next to him and spreading he own wings. "Ready!", she says.

If Orcelito needs any help constructing a makeshift bed, Kit will be more than willing to lend a hand. She's had more than a little experience in that area and would be glad to help
