[Quite frankly, the whole of this situation has Jae-Ha seething. This tree - this world - is nothing but a glorified cage. As pleasant as some of it may appear, there's no saving the fact that he's locked in, not to mention other people, as well. At the least, he seems to have caught on to that ray of sunshine, which he uses, but it's not as though it continues to erase all of the bitterness that comes with being here.

But nevertheless. —He seems more at ease, than not, when appearing.

. . . A certain White Dragon, though, just to the side of the screen, does not.]

This amber is very impressive, really. To think that conversing across distances can happen instantly was even remotely possible. . .

But ah- More importantly! My name is Jae-Ha, and I'd like to most humbly offer myself to assist anyone who would like a few lessons in flight, as I'm sure that coordination might be—

[He starts, only to be (rudely!) interrupted.] Jae-Ha! [It's clear the frantic, white haired dragon in the background is not at all happy with the situation, glaring at Jae-Ha from behind.] Your 'services' are hardly what is important right now. Get this off of me already!!

[That being Kija's gem is smack dab in the middle of his forehead, courtesy of some wonderful tree sap, therefore forcing the presence of his wings.]

Don't worry, it'll loosen up within a day. [or something]

That's too long! [He practically despairs.] I- I cannot stand to have these horrible things to be around for another second! AH-! [Nooooo] The Dragon Claw is sticky with sap now, too!

[Jae-Ha just lets out an exasperated sigh] They're a beautiful set of wings, Kija-kun. Now you can fly without any of my assistance, even. Take advantage of it. Your complaining will get you nowhere.

I REFUSE!! [Before Jae-Ha can do much of anything, then, a white scaled dragon claw reaches out and all but grabs his arm to get his full attention - and hopefully succeed in removing the stone, leading the feed to cut off short.]

[ he nods a few times. ] Everyone's are all different colors, and some are a little bigger. I have wings too. We have the same color! [ and he seems pretty happy about that! he's going to go fishing for his gem just to show the young man. ] It's still hard to fly with them, though.

[ Although he is loath to admit it, it's not as though the wings are ugly. And in fact, Kija doesn't mind things like butterflies.

From a distance. ]

. . . My comrade from home has experience with soaring through the skies. I am sure he would not mind giving you some advice and help.

[ he can fly even without wings? nai's face lights up at the thought, one that reminds him of a few people back home. that's right, wasn't the green-haired man saying something about that? ] Wow! He said he's going to teach a lot of people, right? He's a nice person.

[ the admiration is temporarily halted as he finds his gem and holds it in his hand. at that moment, his wings unfold behind him and flutter in the light. even though the amber's golden sheen, nai knows that his wings and the man's are the same white color. ] I don't have to use my wings all the time but I like them a lot.

[ He's so happy about being part bug... ]

Jae-Ha is a decent person. [ Except when gluing things to your forehead. ] Your wings... suit you. You do not mind that you must use such things, after having been brought here against your will?

[ Or... had he always been here? Is there anyone like that here? ]

[ he's happy at the praise, then shakes his head a few times. ] No, they're nice and pretty. If I don't want to use them anymore I just have to put it somewhere so I'm not touching it. I always put it in my room so it doesn't get lost. That would be bad.

And the tree is really, really big, and you can't go up higher if you don't fly. I wouldn't be able to see my friends. [ the friends he's made here, of course. his most closest ones are still back in his world, and he misses them dearly. ] Am, 'against your will' means, um...you didn't want to come here, right? I'm sad my friends aren't here...but they'll come here soon, or maybe I'll go back home. I can wait.

Just how... long have you been here for?

[ As to the flying bit. ]

Is it impossible to climb, or make some sort or rope ladder?

[ He did attempt to scale the tree, but he couldn't get far, and Jae-Ha ultimately came to get him. ]

Um.. [ no wait he's got this tsukumo taught him how the calender works. he has to put the amber down for just a second to count on his fingers, but he picks it up again soon enough. ] A month, I think. [ should be right. ]

I haven't climbed the tree. I saw other people do it though! But they said the mist wouldn't let them go far away.

[ The mist... ]

How is it that the mist can prevent people from leaving?

[nullity]

I don't know. But sometimes I can see really, really big shapes moving on the other side! I don't know what those are either. They don't come to the tree to see everyone.

[backstory]

Perhaps it is that they cannot pass through either.

[nullity]

[ oh, that would make sense! ] Maybe everyone on the other side is living in a big tree too, and they can't come over to our tree. [ alas, that's not a very helpful suggestion. or smart one. ]

[backstory]

Either way. I am used to living within a village surrounded by mist, and nothing can stand up to my claw. I am sure that I can find a way out of here.

[ OPTIMISM. ]

[ the smile on nai's face makes it obvious that kija's optimism has made an impression! and then: ] You are? You lived in a forest before? [ he perks up even more, amazed by that simple fact. ] I lived in one too! Before I stayed with my friends.

[ He nods after a moment. ] It's a very isolated location, and travelers are not generally welcome there. But it is a good place to have been raised.

[ hold on just one second— ] What's 'isolated'?

[backstory]

It means that it is very far removed from other towns and people. It is hidden, and very out of the way.

[nullity]

Oh... [ he tilts his head a bit. that's a rather strange concept to nai. ] If it's hidden that how do you find it when you have to leave?

[backstory]

[ . . . . . . . As long as he has a map it should be okay. Or maybe Yoon. ]

Because I know the location already and where to look, it will be fine for me.

[ okay, makes sense! ] But then other people can't find it. Is that why they're not welcome? Because they get lost?

[ kinda missing the point of 'isolated.' ]

No. They can't find it because the village does not wish for people to find it.

[ such a concept flies right over nai's head. ] Why?

In the past, there have been individuals who sought to capture and use the power of the four dragons for themselves.

[ umm... ] Is that bad? Are they bad people?

[backstory]

They are that as well as cowards.

[nullity]

Cow-ards? [ while he doesn't know what the word means, kija's expression doesn't go unnoticed. ] Um...it's okay. I don't think there are any bad people here.

[ unsettling people, perhaps, but no one that's caused any real harm to those living here. but that's just nai's understanding of it. ]
