It was so pretty. Haunting maybe, in a way that reached deep inside her. The sound of the violin echoed through the air despite the storm. Bare feet stepped across the wet and muddy ground, while a leaf was held above her head to try and shield her hair from the heavy drops of rain. Since the day before, the heavens had really opened up. Although the wind was what made travel outside all the more complicated. Whenever a strong gust swept past it was all she could do to keep her feet planted on the ground.

At the mist barrier, she stopped to listen a moment, eyes closed. Even despite the storm, still the music played on. Not even mother nature was enough to prevent it. With a gust of wind, her protective leaf blew away, but she caught herself. Right here seemed to be as close as she could get, it looked like.

Without thinking too deeply on it, she lifted her now free hand up into the air, while one of her feet drew up. Slowly she turned upon her toes in a circle as she listened to the music, and then shifted in time to it. A dance meant for two but played out by only one. She moved to the sound of his voice, however. It was beautiful.



[Amber]

[ The girl appearing within the Amber glass looks as though she's just gotten out of the bath. Or more like the rain in this case. While her clothes are dry, a set of clothing is clear behind her, hanging up on the wall, and dripping a puddle of water beneath it. Even her brown hair is still saturated, drops of water sliding down the wet locks, even as she squeezes some of it to dry. She pokes the Amber and frowns momentarily.]

It always feels so weird using this thing... Hi- [ She lifts a hand up in a small wave, smiling a little sheepishly.] I hate interrupting everyone, but I was curious. What do people think of that pretty song that's been played of late? Others have heard it too, right? You know... on the violin, accompanied by a man's beautiful voice.

Shivers aren't necessarily a good thing. I can't even imagine the sort of dance one would pull off to this.

I'm not going to take that! There's no way that you can earnestly think that! It's the most beautiful thing. I had to step outside to listen and everything.

Just...don't get near it, okay?

Ah- [ Sigh ] Well I was- pulled inside anyway. I'm sure he'd complain a lot if wandered back out again and that'd be annoying.

[That sounds incredibly familiar. She obviously has someone watching over her here.]

If that's the only reason you aren't going out there, he should annoy you more.

I'll be fine. I just wanted to listen more closely. I'm not about to do anything reckless though.

Give me his name, I need a new best friend who understands the pain of trying to keep a sixteen year old girl alive. He obviously speaks my language.

[He has no idea how old you are. He just knows if you think they are both annoying then it's probably a good guess that you'll do something reckless.]

I-I don't need Zero to help keep me alive. I'm the one who protects him.

Oh. Sorry. I misunderstood.

[Nope. He's got you nailed. Both you and Zero completely now.]

I thought you meant that he was trying to protect you by not wanting you to go outside. But you just want to take one for the team and not let the thing that Zero has no interest in from getting him.

No wonder he'd be annoyed.

I don't know why I went outside. I mean I just suddenly found myself out there! Don't include this occasion, it doesn't count!

I get the impression that Zero can handle himself pretty well. Why are you trying to protect him?

Does not... [ Geez. Releasing a sigh though, she calms. ]

Zero is always trying to do things alone. He never takes care of himself and is too kind, even though he claims he's not. [ He is kind though. Genuinely he's a good person. ] Even though he has a number of things he's dealing with, he says things like I can do whatever I want or use him however I please, but that isn't right.

[ He's the one who has limited time. Her jaw firms, determination stealing across her face. ]

Just...because he is strong, doesn't mean that he's invulnerable. [ She doesn't want him to die. She can't deal with that. He can't turn to level E. ] That's why I'll protect the Zero that wont protect himself. He's my best friend and my most precious ally. We're a team, so... I'll do everything in my power to protect him too.

[thunderbeast]

...[Why? These girls are just completely clueless but amazing in their own right. His instincts were right about her and her relationship with Zero. Hak runs a hand through his hair with a sigh. The dynamics are pretty much the same.]

Stubborn girls are the worst.
