( amber + action: backdated to the morning )
| characters | Saber and anyone who wishes to join her.
| date/time | Wednesday morning (06/10).
| location | First Floor; outside the tree, near the entrance.
| rating | G-PG??
| summary | The Life Stream light has turned blue. A Gathering is called to deal with it (read here).
[ Once she finishes her message, Arturia turns her back from the light and walks toward the exit of the tree. She plucks a leaf to use as blanket as she waits for the others, sitting Seiza-style under the sagging tulips. She has remained at least several minutes watching the Life Stream upon her discovery to know that it will not change back so easily, and, if it does, it means that the colder light will become more predominant with the passage of time. Even if it wasn't permanent now, it certainly would be in the future.
In any case, she prefers to discuss this matter urgently. The tree is changing. The positive and warm feelings it used to provide by one's proximity to the Light has been replaced by the opposite sensation. That comfort is meaningless. But what if the tree starts to rot?
Is this the consequence of their failure? ]
Greetings, dwellers.
[ Saber's consternated face stares at the slice of amber she holds between her hands. She has heard Kit utilize that term and assumes it is how they have labeled to the ray of light that goes through the entire tree. ]
Since last week, the Life Stream has been flickering between gold and blue, but today it seems that its color has shifted permanently. [ She doesn't bother to flip the amber at its direction, because the image will be portrayed with a yellow hue. ] Let us gather outside immediately and discuss the meaning of this and if there is a way to change it back.

Black Rukh or a pathological depression? She is aware this is hardly an appropriate place to interrogate him about that topic.]If you prefer this light, this means you would be against changing it back?
no subject
Both? Probably both.Would he? Probably. But he doesn't think they get much say in the matter.]I doubt we have much say in the matter.

[He has a point, they do not know how exactly proceed and she concedes she knows little about gems as others have proposed to give her input.]
But what if the situation changes?
no subject
[He's cursed his fate once, he doesn't see a ton of reason not to do it again. He likes to do things his way.]
And if that means following a less traveled path, then I'll do it.
no subject
[She does not, at least.]
My main concern is about the other potential side effects. I would not mind if it stays like this as long as there is no further damage to the tree.

It's hard to say if this is healthy or not without another reference to use. There were people here before us, right? Where did they go or what happened to them?
[Too many riddles! Not enough answers, it's annoying to him...still there's not much to do much search for answers...and that's annoying too.]
no subject
If there were other people, we have not heard of them.
no subject
[He wonders about that though. It all seems pretty well set up for that, but maybe it is the first time people or anything have set foot in the trees.]
...there has to be a better answer then 'it's all strange.'

no subject
[That's really not better is it?]
...Neither is a 'better' option.

[Though she has agreed to help now, because she might recognize the entity who brought them here is due to a curse they are afflicted, she wonders what happened to those who failed.... and those who are missing?
Fuu says they have returned home, though how do they know?]
I hoped I did not have to share this, though I think it is for the better that you listen to my conjectures. [She takes the yellow gem from her pocket, spreading her delicate, see-through, blue and white wings.] Marisa said we resembled fairies. She is not incorrect, although the fairies I am more familiar with are larger. Nonetheless, this gem and this tree has transformed us.
[Her gaze travels upward.]
Perhaps, if we continue to stay here, we shall become like Chime and our metamorphosis would be complete. I do not wish to raise alarm, so keep this between us. [It is only a possibility.]
no subject
[That's not pleasant. He wants to go home. He'll try not to mention in conversation.]
I don't know much about fairies.
Maybe chime is a remnant of a previous group that has failed. Chime may have chosen to stay as well.
[Though why...]
no subject
[Which Saber found offensive until she realizes it is Chime's description.]
Perhaps all of them remain, and they are trapped in other levels. We cannot know for certain until we can lift the mist.
no subject
[He's still not sure how to slot that outside of 'similar' to Djinn.]
...So much depends on that.
no subject
[It's infuriating too.]
no subject
[But she can't and that's that.]
