[There's a crack in the mirror, and that's the only push he needs to take action. The first thing Orcelito does on arrival at the ground floor is send out a call through the amber.]

We’re going to try the handholding riddle solutions we discussed at the Gathering now. Please meet me on the ground floor.

[Now he stands with his list, written neatly in ink on paper. When you arrive, he’ll have some instructions for you.]

To start, I’d like you to gather in pairs and attempt the following combinations.

- Someone young and someone older

- Someone who specializes in light magic and someone who specializes in dark magic

- Someone with moth wings and someone with fairy wings

- Two or more people who have displayed leadership abilities since their arrival

Remember, we need to hold hands and stand in or close to the pillar of light for this to work.

[He’ll check off the list as each of you try a combination, and add new combinations that are suggested.]

[Eren arrives pretty quickly; the crack in the mirror has lit a fire under his ass, so to speak. With his moth wings, he stands close to the Night crystal]

I uh... don't know any magic, so I can't help with that one. And I'm not sure if I'm a leader.

[A pause; he was looking at Eren’s wings as he descended.] When you first arrived here, which of these stones did you touch? [Orcelito gestures to the two large gemstones in the room.]

[Seles is more curious than anything. And of course willing to help... If she'll be allowed. She's not normally allowed back home. If she isn't... She'll fight for it! It's her duty to do what she can too.

Still when she arrives she's trying hard to hide embarrassment.]

Do we have to hold hands? It could be an expression.

[Holding hands with strangers is too embarrassing. Why can't this be something properly heroic like killing a rampaging beast?]

A believe the riddle does suggest actually holding hands, but I am open to hearing another interpretation if you have one.

[Kit had been right behind Orcelito when he'd headed down to the ground floor, and she now stands with him waiting for more people to arrive. As they wait, she thinks about the various pairs.]

[His other hand extends to Kit.] Our wings are different. Would you like to try?

[Though Korra's reluctant to solve the riddles at some faceless person's whim, she knows they don't have much of a choice in this. Extinguishing the fire and leaving behind a huge firefly after they failed to answer the other riddle--the message couldn't have been clearer.

She glances over her shoulder at her wings and clears her throat.]

I've got the see through kind if you need someone to help with that. What makes magic dark or light anyway?

Your world doesn't distinguish between magic used for good and magic used for ill? By intent or source? [He walks over to her, looking a bit puzzled.]

Please stand by the yellow gemstone. Ah, first... [He'll extend his hand to her.] Just a test, if you don't mind.

What if you can do both light and dark magic? [ She's assuming that 'light' and 'dark' refers to good and evil and not the elements themselves. ]

For now, would you please join in the line between the two gemstones? [A pause as he remembers her wings.] You have translucent wings, right? Over by the yellow stone would be best, I think.

[That was a mouthful. The crack is pretty concerning.]

You can help! We need more volunteers with these. [He flicks his own pale green moth wings.] Would you be willing to join the line between the gemstones - close to the night-colored one, if you can.

[Ivaera is brand new but this has her curiosity, so she holds off random exploring for a bit. Upon hearing the list, she glances back at her luna moth wings.]

I have one set of the wings needed, and I know magic...though I admit, I haven't heard of it classified in that manner. One of my specializations is healing, if that counts?

[Orcelito paces around the room doing a quick headcount: four transparent sets of wings and three moth-like sets… still running short and still not even. So he smiles in relief when a new face enters.]

Ah, you’re one of the new arrivals. Ivaera Surana, I believe? I’m afraid I missed responding to your introduction before. I am Orcelito.

Thank you for coming to help. [He pauses for moment, considering. It would seem classifying magic isn't as easy as he assumed.] Hm... perhaps the theory about the magic was unfounded then.

Right now, we are attempting to form a line between the stones. If you might stand by the dark gem, please? We almost have enough…

[Saber still feels a little tired, but she she does not show any outward fatigue when she descends to attend to the Gathering. She cannot claim she is pleased to follow the whims of these riddles, nonetheless... it is true the crack has been concerning her.

She sits and listens to the combination Orcelito proposes. Some have been discussed before.]

Hm. Aside of solving the riddle, should not we discuss what precautions are we going to take in case this results in an attack?

[The violinist, the main source of her concerns, seems to be gone, nonetheless she will not lower her guard do readily.]

Perhaps some of us can be stationed at the top and bottom levels to serve as shield in case something happens.

I thought that was discussed at the Gathering. [He came in late, so he’s not sure what he may have missed.

Still, if Saber is asking, he will offer his opinion.] There is no telling what will happen. But if we assume there will be another attack from above, then we have a good defensive position here. We can evacuate the non-fighters out of the Tree should anything happen. [He nods to the main door covered by the golden web.]

Since you have been involved in the defense discussions from the start, would you like to alert the resident fighters to be on guard? You know who they are better than I, and you’ve already spoken to most of them.

Also… everyone should be mobilized, and not just for today. Whether or not we succeed in solving the riddle, the mirror cracking could be a warning. We should be ready to take action one way or the other.

I think organizing this effort would make you qualified for having leadership abilities, Orcelito-san. And Saber-san has butterfly wings.

Yes, that’s true. Saber doesn’t want to participate though. [A sentiment he can understand and must respect. He may try to talk her into it later, but he won’t force her.]

In any case, we are going to form a line connecting the two gemstones next. Will you be joining us?

[ after hearing that people needed assistance with the riddle, nai came here with korra. he's always willing to help wherever and whenever, but it isn't often that he actually can. so the little niji is very excited after learning that there's something he can do!

now someone just needs to tell him what exactly what is. while his wings flicker excitedly behind him, he holds his his bright day gem up for others to see. seems that's what they're looking for now. ] I have a yellow gem!

[ Most of these don't really apply to him, do they. With a frown, he glances back at the wings on his own back. A white dragonfly's wings. He supposes that he fits within the fairy group. Or rather... he is someone who has a day gem. His blue eyes lift and he glances around at the other individuals who have their wings out as well.]

[Oh, is that one of his new neighbors who has just arrived? Orcelito approaches with a smile.] Good afternoon. I'm afraid we havn't met yet even though we live on the same floor. My name is Orcelito. [And he’ll hold out his hand (with his night gem bracelet in his palm) in greeting.]
