[After taking a look at the items in the shop herself, there's one set in particular that catches her interest, and Korra's sure it could be helpful to many of the people living in the tree. If she hesitates before turning the amber on, it's only because she's already mentioned a few times that one element per bender is the norm in her world, and her offer is going to look suspicious when she's already used water bending very visibly. But when it comes to her own comfort over the needs of the people around her, Korra knows which one she would choose.
She kind of sucked at the incognito thing anyway, if she's honest.]
Hey, I know Saber's already mentioned the tree spirit's store, but there's something in there I wanted to talk about: the needles. I think most of us already figured out how hard finding stuff like metal is around here. [Korra fidgets, looking away from the amber for a moment.] A-anyway, the point is, if we pool our resources together and buy the needles, I can make some knives and daggers out of them.
After the surprise we had with the spiders, I think we should make sure as many of us have something to defend ourselves with as possible.

[Saber asks, interested. Not for herself because she has Excalibur, but it could be useful gift to Rin if some of them are immune to magecraft. She pushes that selfish thought aside and sees there could be a greater purpose.]
Perhaps if an effort is made and the purchasers agree, those weapons could be stored for use in the future.
[She tips her head.]
Terpsichora suggested a militia. However until that force is officially formed, each disarmed home
could have a weapon and someone capable of wielding it. [But to know this, they need some kind of census and meeting.]
amber;
[Korra frowns in thought now.]
A militia or any kind of fighting force. Maybe we could give lessons to people who don't know how to fight, too.

Yes, someone within the fighting force could act as trainer seems necessary. They could be tasked recruit more members or simply train those who are not members in basic self-defense.
[Teaching is definitely not one of Saber's strengths, so she cannot volunteer.]
amber;
[Though Korra had liked teaching Opal in Zaofu--it all feels so long ago now--she isn't too confident of her own abilities right now, so she doesn't offer either.]
We should have a meeting about this, gather everyone who wants to join and figure things out.
amber;
[She assents. The equivalent of magus in Korra's world, at least. She knows some magi are born inclined to master an element or another, or more than one, or in rare occasions, all of them.]
Yes, I agree. A meeting outside, during day where we can discuss pressing matters such as healthcare, food supplies and defense. There are more topics to be addressed and organize, but for a first meeting, we should begin with the most basic ones.
amber;
And yeah. First meeting's going to be tough just trying to get everyone organized. We can leave the other things for later, when we get used to the new changes.
amber;
[ She explains, hoping she is clearer now. ]
Yes. I also wish to address the matter of the lodgings. Housing is important, but so is utilizing the space strategically.
amber;
[Korra nods, thinking of how little space they have to work with.]
The inside of the tree's pretty small, and it's going to be crowded around here if we keep getting more people. What did you have in mind?
amber;
[She has to wonder. Her world rules of magic and magecraft seem to be complicated. She nods.]
The spiders, I was said, the attack came from the top floor. Then I believe the lower and top levels should have the stronger fighters to act as shield.
