[ A couple weeks ago, Rin was eager to be everywhere and to do everything she can in order to distract herself. It didn't take long at all for the reality of her situation to sink its fangs into her. In turn, she accepted there just wasn't much to do here except linger with others (which is unacceptable for someone who has lived alone for so long) and be left to your own thoughts, the latter of which tormented her. So after staying indoors since the last storm and recovering from her illness, she pulls out the piece of amber to address whoever is listening. ]

I didn't properly introduce myself before. [ Anyone who has met her in person might not be used to the smile she wears now, but she wears it so well. Years of practice does that. ]

My name is Tohsaka Rin and my hometown is Fuyuki City, Japan. I attended Homurahara Academy with some of the highest marks in the school, but was recently approved to study abroad in London. I'm seventeen years old, my blood type is O, and I have a fascination with jewels. My family specializes in a variety of precious jewels and minerals though I don't have any of them with me here.

I hope to get along with everyone here properly without further incident. [ So formal, it's as if she's a completely different person. ]

Please tell me a little bit about yourselves in return, starting with your name?

[The amber reveals an elven face, tired and weary. He's leaning a bit to his sword, looking mildly annoyed.]

I need a place to stay. Just a bed, nothing more.

[He should be used to sleeping on the floor after his time with Danarius, but apparently he was spoiled these days after spending three years on a moldy mattress in a ratty mansion and then many more in a bed with a snoring beast and a dog.

About a month was all he could manage, and it had left his muscles sore and markings aching.]

I will not stay with any mages.

[ The man looking down into the amber appears confident, at a glance. Certainly, he's friendly, and he offers a grin. ]

So here's what I'm thinkin'.

We got threats here, don't we? Giant spiders, that sort of thing. Or average-sized spiders, but they're giant to us, that's for sure. There's probably more crap where that came from.

But now we're trying to get weapons for everybody. Ways for us all to defend ourselves.

[ He gestures at the golden image before him. ]

I got an offer for all of you. If you need help defending yourselves, I'll--I'll try and teach you.

But I might need a little help setting up a gym for it. Anyone got any ideas how we can go about that?

[ A beat. He hesitates, then says: ]

I'm Bucky, by the way. Nice to meet you all, even if it's not under the greatest of circumstances.

[After taking a look at the items in the shop herself, there's one set in particular that catches her interest, and Korra's sure it could be helpful to many of the people living in the tree. If she hesitates before turning the amber on, it's only because she's already mentioned a few times that one element per bender is the norm in her world, and her offer is going to look suspicious when she's already used water bending very visibly. But when it comes to her own comfort over the needs of the people around her, Korra knows which one she would choose.

She kind of sucked at the incognito thing anyway, if she's honest.]

Hey, I know Saber's already mentioned the tree spirit's store, but there's something in there I wanted to talk about: the needles. I think most of us already figured out how hard finding stuff like metal is around here. [Korra fidgets, looking away from the amber for a moment.] A-anyway, the point is, if we pool our resources together and buy the needles, I can make some knives and daggers out of them.

After the surprise we had with the spiders, I think we should make sure as many of us have something to defend ourselves with as possible.

[Saber's face immediately appears on the amber surface and, from behind her, there are glimpses of Chime's recently opened shop.]

Good morning. To those who were not aware, the spirit known as Chime has just opened her shop and brought wares that are not available to us in the tree. [She is inwardly pleased to know that means this creature too can leave the tree somehow, but she will try to communicate with her later.] However, these items are not free and we cannot afford them alone. Their stock seems to be very limited as well. The answer is obvious, many of us surely have concluded that the solution is reuniting with close allies to purchase the desired ware with them, but I will suggest something else.

[She has been speaking about this matter with some people already, but she has had no time to propose an assembly outdoors to discuss the organization overall they could have to improve their lives and call a vote. She pauses to make her proposal.]

There are basic items such as food or the string of yarn, among others, that are of a general interest. Why do not we, the potential purchasers, donate them in benefit of all of us? We should assign a space as a storeroom to keep all what belongs the community and be sure that they are given a fair use.

[If this is accepted, she will bring up the delegated tasks for those who are specialized in different fields to optimize their lifestyles. Because raw ingredients could be better utilized in hands of good cooks than inexpert ones.]

If you do not agree, it is fine. I only wanted to address that, for the time being, we are expected to live together and a cohesive group stands stronger than one that lives with cordial divisions.

The gold eye that is closest (and both are very close indeed ) is looking the Amber Slice over critically as Pitch is examining this new piece of magic on his person to go along with the little gem now secreted away in the darkness of his robe. ]

[ You see, kids, this is how you know you've been alone too long. You start talking to yourself all the time. No, he doesn't realize others can see him. ]
