[Fuu's smiling face appears in the amber. Behind her, you can just see the piece of mirror, though she's too far away for the words to show.]

Hello, everyone! I hope you're all well today.

It seems as though the mirror on this branch is enchanted! It's showing a riddle at the moment.

It reminds you of a riddle the heroes would find in a storybook, don't you think? But of course, reading a story and being in a story are two entirely different things.

Of course! They're so friendly, it would be terrible not to be friendly back.

[She looks back at the mirror.] Yes, me too. I wonder what they're looking to do by having the webs down?

Yeah! [ he nods cheerfully for those few seconds before his expression fades into one of slight worry. ]

The webs...is that the white things all the way at the top? [ he heard it mentioning in passing but wasn't entirely sure. ] But that's where the big spider is... [ and fuu just mentioned it wouldn't be a good idea to release it, so that can't be what the riddle is referring to. right? ]

That's one web, yes, and I worry about what would happen if we did break it. There are also the magic golden webs over the entrance to the tree, which fortunately don't seem to be guarded by spiders.

[But the effects of removing the magic webs--they don't seem to do much, but who knows?]

[ he nods along with her words and brings the memory of those golden webs to the front of his mind. going through them was always difficult, but somehow getting back into the tree was remarkably simple. as most things, it confused nai. ]

I don't want those to break. [ why? probably for simple reasons like 'they don't feel bad' or 'they're the same color as my gem' and the like. ] ... Can hair break the webs? Hair is really light though.

[ he remembered the third line of the riddle, because while he doesn't understand the second and the first is kind of plausible (what with jewelry being something of substance), this last one is a mystery. ]

You could make a web--or a net--with human hair when you're fairy-sized. I haven't met anyone who seems like a 'mad eater', have you?

[She's got her own ideas about the first two lines, but that third one has her stumped.]

[ can you really? he'll take her word for it, as he does with everyone. at the question, he shakes his head. ] No...everyone here is really kind. Ah, no...there's some who aren't nice, but they I didn't see them get mad when they were eating.

From a normal-sized human, at least. It would be hard to do with our own hair now.

Ah, well. The line probably isn't literal anyway, but it doesn't hurt to ask.
