It seems as though the mirror on this branch is enchanted! It's showing a riddle at the moment.

It reminds you of a riddle the heroes would find in a storybook, don't you think? But of course, reading a story and being in a story are two entirely different things.

There should at least be squirrels [HA HA HA] and birds. Maybe they are here, but they can't get to this part of the tree because of the mist. You're right, a hollow tree would be a shelter anyway, but one as luxurious as this should be full of animals.

I wonder if the mist will clear up sometime. I'd love to get out there and meet them all! Haha, most of the birds I know are seagulls. And I've never seen parts of the world from this close to the ground, either. That could probably be pretty neat.
