Amber + Action
| characters | Everyone!
| date/time | 3/26, afternoon
| location | second floor
| rating | PG?
| summary | mingling, solving the riddle, and possibly collecting the "artifacts"
[Some time around noon, Korra's nervous, orange-toned face appears in the amber slices.]
So, everyone's heard about the riddle by now, right? We've had some time to think about it now, and I just thought it might be easier if we all meet up in one place to toss around some possible answers.
[It's been a while since she's addressed a crowd like this. And even if she can't technically see them, she knows they can see her. Korra wets her lips nervously, then seems to fight back her uncertainty with determination.]
Most of us are strangers to each other, but we should try to work together, look out for each other, at least until we figure out how to get back home. It'll...make our stay here more bearable.
Oh, and if anyone got injuries from those ant soldiers or anything else, I can have a look at them.
(ooc: this is a discussion post, so feel free to jump in anywhere!)

It's a kind of gem. You know, the stones people like to put in jewellery? I think it's the clear-looking one.
[but they definitely don't come from clouds. Riddles, man. Their captors couldn't have just given them more straightforward instructions?]

Bright and shiny...maybe we're not looking for something that's actually a gemstone. Riddles are supposed to be describing things, but not literally.
So what's something that's bright and shiny, and comes from clouds?
no subject
he looks up, toward the sky that they can't quite see from here but he knows it's there. ] Stars are bright and shiny! You can only see them at night though.
no subject
We're going to run into a lot of problems if that's the answer, though. This mist isn't letting anyone go very far.

The rain from before almost-- [She breaks off, eyes widening.] Rain and hail. Those come from clouds.
no subject
he stares at her curiously when she cuts herself off. he's sure he's heard 'hail' from yogi once, but a visual isn't quite forming in his mind yet. as for rainβ ] We can catch rain! Oh, but...it melts when it touches you. [ 'melt' isn't exactly the right term, but. ]
no subject
If we need to keep the hail or snow from melting, I can probably do it.

[She gets to her feet.]
I can show you, if you want.

Okay. Watch this.
[Korra makes a smooth gesture with her hand, pulling a thin thread of water from the pools over to her. She sends the water looping around Nai once, twice, and then freezes it into a ball of ice when it pools in her hand.]

You should see some of the other things people can do with bending. It's...amazing. One of the best things water bending can do it heal.
Anyway, that's how I could keep the hail and snow from melting.
no subject
Yeah! We can even make things that look like Yukkin and they won't melt this time. [ well, they won't talk, though. and give him a second he'll elaborate. ] Um, snowmen!
[ but now he's curious. ] Heal? What's that?
no subject
Snowmen, huh. There's always snow around where I came from, and I used to make snowmen of my mom and dad all the time.
[She leans forward, propping her chin in her hand.]
And healing is...when you get injured, you have to wait a long time for it to completely get back to normal, right? Some water benders can use the water to speed up the process.
no subject
now he listens and tilts his head as he thinks on it. indeed, he does have to wait a long time. yogi had to spend days in the research tower after his battle with kakfa members too. it was a difficult wait but worth it once yogi returned to them 100% healthy. no one at home must know about this 'healing.' ] So if you get hurt, you don't have to go to the hospital? You can use the water to make the pain go away?
no subject
It's not perfect, though. We can't heal anything fatal, and the worse the wound is, the longer it will take us to heal.
[Her voice softens.] Some wounds are harder to recover from.

[Sensing his gaze on her, Korra looks up and smiles, mustering it up just for him.]
We should all be careful. [She agrees. No protest from her on that end.] But if you ever get hurt, you let me know, okay? I'll take care of you.
no subject
korra's smile is one he's seen a few times before, the not entirely sad, not entirely happy one. but at the very least she agrees with him. so he nods and smiles back. ] Okay, I will. Thank you, Korra. You're always so nice. [ to him, to others (that he's seen)βkorra truly is a lovely person. ]
no subject
You're not so bad yourself, you know.
[Korra replies playfully, and pushes herself out of the chair.]
C'mon, let's go get some of that snow outside. I bet the others will have some idea about the rest of the riddle when we get back.
no subject
[ just like the math problems tsukumo gives him, there should be a solution here as well. in any case, off they go!]
