You're really deranged, aren't you?!

[ He's done what he can to hide the two of them away from the others as to not draw attention to his actions while she ruins it by screaming at him. Fortunately their competition is delicious chocolate cake therefore making Rin's breakdown all too easy to ignore. ]

I haven't had a bath in five days, Archer! [ If it's meant to be a joke or to downplay how long she was really gone, the earnest look in her flustered expression indicates otherwise. She truly believes that's how long she was gone. ]

[steelmyself]

Huh, Rin?!

[ He blinks at her, suddenly at a loss. ]

I offered to draw you a bath because I thought it would relax you--

[ He gestures. ]

You've been gone for three weeks. Of course you've bathed in that time.

[gandere]

Three weeks. [ No way. ]

How do you expect me to relax when you're saying things like that?

[ Were they really gone for that amount of time or was Archer exaggerating just to get under her skin? She thinks back, recalls the number of times she saw the sun set and the stars in the sky as if to double check, silently going through the possibilities herself. ]

[steelmyself]

[ He composes himself quickly and regards her expressionlessly. ]

Do you not trust me, Rin? Well, that's understandable, but the fact is this.

You were gone for almost a month. There's nothing else I can tell you.

[gandere]

[ Trust is difficult. It has always been more of a burden to Rin than anything else and here he was asking her to place her faith not in what she knows to be true, but what he perceives to be a truth himself. A few days doesn't make up three weeks and even if they traveled far, the possibility of the planet's rotation making up the difference is too unbelievable of a stretch. ]

I, I really could use that bath. [ She needs to relax and then maybe she can tackle this problem directly after. ]

[steelmyself]

[ He stares at her a moment longer. Is that concern in his eyes?

He can't allow there to be concern in his eyes. He turns away. ]
