Welcome Back, Adventurers!
After putting the sword where it now belongs inside the life Stream, it's time for a little award, isn't it?

Appearing outside the tree after the sword has been inserted is normal-sized slice of chocolate cake, enough to feed everyone in tree and more!
Come relax, talk about your adventures and catch up. Enjoy your victory!

"Fate can be a very subtle force; I do not believe there is ever truly such a thing as a coincidence."
There was so much more she could say on the subject of their two worlds, but she herself was ignorant on vast swathes of the knowledge that had been unearthed on the subject. Her father had been fascinated, but she herself had no interest in reading his long-shelved research. Right now that seemed like a foolish decision.
"An ancient goddess... Have you ever heard of a land called Atlantis, Fuu?"
no subject
But the name that Celena offered stopped Fuu as she was figuring out how to articulate these thoughts aloud. "It's an Ancient Greek legend about--" No. Wait. If Celena had heard of it... "You're going to tell me that it's not a legend at all, aren't you?"

"Once upon a time, long long ago, there was a city on an island named Atlantis. The people who lived there were wise and powerful and they dedicated their days to understanding the flows of Destiny. They mastered this power and created miracles, even giving themselves feathered wings on their backs so they could fly like birds."
"However, the people of Atlantis grew arrogant, drawing on Fate's power without a thought. There was a reaction, a lashback as Fate sought to find balance once more, and Atlantis was consumed by fire and water. The people of Atlantis perished, except for those few who were able to fly the subtle routes between our two worlds. They came to Gaea thousands of years ago as refugees and wandered our world, leaving great artefacts describing their stories and memorialising their terrible mistake. Even now, a few descendants of Atlantis still live, born with the wings that mark them as part of that accursed race."

"...Well, I never heard that the Atlanteans had wings," she said, when Celena finished her explanation. Wasn't there some other Greek myth about hubris and wings that melted? "I didn't realize Fate could be consumed like a resource, either. But however did they get from Earth to Gaea?"
no subject
This was quickly moving into uncomfortably personal territory, but she tried to explain as best she could.
"Fate... it's a difficult substance to understand. It pervades everything and it shapes our lives and worlds. Personally, I believe fate is like a rubber sheet: it can be deformed by exerting a push or pull upon it, but it always wishes to snap back to its original pattern, and woe betide anyone who's built something that depended on twisting that rubber sheet around."
