LIGHT

Warmth, love and kindness.
The Life Stream glimmers and glitters with joy, swirls of shimmering dust dancing around the ray of life.
It was time for new ones to test their wings.


One by one, new adventurers now arrive in the Tree. As one gain wings and rises to the second floor, another light brings in the next person. Soon, a steady stream of people from all kinds of worlds, times and realities come to join the others. Whether confused, angry, excited or scared, your arrival is welcomed with nothing but joy as the fireflies and glow worms descend to greet their new friends.

The Tree offers no explanation and no reason, but the truth is undeniable.

As you will soon realize, it isn't easy to be tiny.

That's... actually a very important question. I don't think I've seen anybody speaking firefly, so it'll be pretty hard to ask them about it. [ He gives the room a little glancing-over. The fireflies and worms probably do something in the tree. Probably. ] I just thought it was because of those gems earlier. They seemed more magical than not magical.

[ he perks up and reveals the piece of yellow gem in his hands, snug so he doesn't drop it again. ] The big stones at the top? I got this from the yellow one. When I hold it I have wings, but if I drop it the wings go away.

[ he's not sure if the gems are responsible for anything, but this guy seems to know what he's talking about, right? ]

Hey, I got a piece of the yellow one, too! [ Now he has to fish it out of his pocket for sheer prosperity. There were only two up there, so logically, it makes sense that other people would have pieces of the yellow one, if it broke for all of them. Steven is not inherently a logical being, though. He thinks it's rad instead. ] The wings thing is pretty cool, though, right? I don't know exactly how all of it works, but I never got to have wings before. Now I know what it's like!

[ nai brightens at the fact they share the same color of whatever the shiny rock is. ] I didn't have wings either. Everyone's is different but they're all really big and pretty. [ suddenly a thought occurs to him. ] Maybe we turned into butterflies?

[gempathic]

Last time I turned into something, it got a little crazy. It wouldn't be too bad to be a butterfly. though. Like a crystal butterfly? I'm kind of hoping this is temporary. I do a lot of stuff that I don't think I could do right at this size.

What did you turn into? Are you okay? [ well, obviously, since he's here now, but nai's questions often come out without thinking about them. ] We can still do things, like, um... [ hmm.... ] Ah! When you play hide-and-seek, you can hide in smaller places now!

[gempathic]

Uhhhh. I guess I kind of... almost got taken over by cat faces? It turned out okay. This is definitely a lot better than that was. We could fit under dressers and behind couches now that we're so small. I've always wondered what it's like under the furniture! We're basically made for tiny adventures.
