001 ⚡ Amber (Action if outside)

[Hak is standing just outside of the tree with his hsu quandao across his shoulders. He's looking out at the mist and knows by now that there has been a varied response to the violin music that has played for the last few days. He's more than a little disturbed by what he is seeing so he's bringing it to the attention of everyone, if they haven't already seen.]

So, it looks like the storm is done. We can all make our way outside without fear of drowning via raindrops.

The creepy music has stopped too. [Yes, creepy music. He doesn't care what you have to say about it--it wasn't pleasant.] It looks like the musician wants to pay us all a visit though.

[Hak points his amber in the direction of the mist. It might be a little hard to see on the screen but there is definitely a person out there.]

Any volunteers want to go see what he wants? If he wants in, I vote no. The stench of rotting corpse is hard to get out of fabric.

[The amber turns back to Hak before he addresses everyone.]

I know several of us have discussed determining who here is a fighter. I think it might be a good time to get a head count in case that thing is hostile.

He looks dead. I don't know if he really is. That would require going out there and asking him.

Either you can or you can't. If you don't have any training, stay out of the way for now until you are more comfortable.

I can fight if we need to. Hopefully that thing isn't hostile, but if it is... [he had Saber. he had yet to come across more people here, but she was one of the strongest people that he knew and could count on]

I don't listen to the violin often, but...it was alright. I don't like not knowing where it's coming from though. [especially here. so maybe it gave him an underlined sense of dread and worry when he wasn't in the presence of the life stream]

I'd thought it had come from someone from the tree. Though I'm not certain there was any particular quality to the music.

[Though once it had been pointed out otherwise it hadn't made a lot of sense. Not good, not bad. Just there.

Though he frowns at the image. So much for worrying about the riddles bringing enemies.]

He could be the reason for the mist.

[His vote is no too. He's just not sure what good he'd be. Zagan is heavily limited, in his opinion, and Belial only works on living things, as far as he knows.]

You think he's the cause of the mist? I guess it's possible. I didn't think about that.

It better then assuming the tree's trapped us for it's sake rather then ours.

[Optimism isn't his forte. Plus it means maybe they can take it down, eventually.

He's never really thought of attraction outside of once when he was younger and she more or less stomped on his proposal, or at least that's how he feels about it.]

Nothing I want to get too close too or can make sense of.

Why? Do people see something else?

He's not human, either. [His pulse sounds very peculiar as well; almost like the melody they heard. He pauses.] And you already know I'm in, regarding fighting.

I wish I knew. He just isn't one- [should he even say this next part??] His pulse sounds like music, as well. Even though he's very clearly dead.

He doesn't smell like that. He smells like... well like rain. I thought it was just the smell of the last of the storm at first, but it's definitely him.

And I don't think I could fight someone that big. But... I could try to do something about his music, if it starts to do more than just make people act weird.

You think it does? I'm not sure. I'm sure others have stronger senses about this sort of thing than I do. [He's just a normal human, after all.]

Personally, I don't think anyone should go near it. At least not until we know more about what it is.

[Saber can't see the details of the weapon this man is carrying through the amber display, but it looks like is a spear. Either way, she assumes he is a warrior.]

Hm. I do not think we can grant anyone access even if this giant were to ask. [She doubts it. If he is like the animals, they can cross without their permission.]

I know how to fight. I cannot say I have fought a decaying giant, but my sword has decapitated plenty healthy-looking ones.

No, I don't suppose anyone can, which is a blessing. Let's just hope they can't get through on their own. That looks to be the case at the moment.
