[Hak is standing just outside of the tree with his hsu quandao across his shoulders. He's looking out at the mist and knows by now that there has been a varied response to the violin music that has played for the last few days. He's more than a little disturbed by what he is seeing so he's bringing it to the attention of everyone, if they haven't already seen.]

So, it looks like the storm is done. We can all make our way outside without fear of drowning via raindrops.

The creepy music has stopped too. [Yes, creepy music. He doesn't care what you have to say about it--it wasn't pleasant.] It looks like the musician wants to pay us all a visit though.

[Hak points his amber in the direction of the mist. It might be a little hard to see on the screen but there is definitely a person out there.]

Any volunteers want to go see what he wants? If he wants in, I vote no. The stench of rotting corpse is hard to get out of fabric.

[The amber turns back to Hak before he addresses everyone.]

I know several of us have discussed determining who here is a fighter. I think it might be a good time to get a head count in case that thing is hostile.

I meant why it would be seen as attractive. Eating us seems like a plausible outcome. Or capture.

[Sad part is, he can see it because it's not a bad plan and one he could probably use at home. If he ever gets home at least.]

Maybe a barrier around the one the mist makes, or trapping them inside the tree.

If someone can pull that off, that would be a really good idea.

[Hak has no magic powers so he's out.]

[If not for the limitations on Zagan he could probably have grown a block but he's not sure it would be terribly effective as it is. He can only hold so many with his wooden dragons.]

Make if someone stands guard at the door.

Is it really fair to lock everyone inside though? Just keeping them away from that thing should be enough.

I've been trained in Spear work, primarily. I have some...Magic, as well.

[He's not technically a mage though.]

[He was warned not to use his first name, after all.]

Spears, huh? [Hak doesn't have any magic abilities but his work with a spear is legendary back home.] We'll have to keep each other in top form. That's what I'm trained in as well.

It's not exactly the preferred weapon at home.

[All of his cousins/step siblings, and his actual sister use swords.]

[You do realize this will make it ten times worse on Kija when Hak does find out, right?]

Some people have different strengths and sometimes different situations call for different weapons.

[Hak carries several different weapons on him. His favorite is his hsu quandao though.]

[It was his suggestion any repercussions lay with him, or so Hakuryuu will probably argue later. At least he won't let it show if it bothers him any.]

Swords are by far the most preferred, at least within my family.

[ Plus the Metal Vessels/Djinn. His family has been very lucky with those. His spear is his preferred weapon most of the time. ]

[Joy of all joys, well, if he can do worse then Judar...actually Judar is pretty tame, almost nice to Hakuryuu.]

A sword? Yes. My instructors insisted on teaching it.

If the rest of the royal family wants to use the same weapon let 'em. He'll take the more difficult...except most of Kou's soldiers use it so, yeah.]

That would explain why most of my family uses them.

None of them have, as far as I've noticed. The other one here is our Magi and High Priest.

[And his sort of friend.]

[You don't say that you are enemies with that person, so he can only assume you get along well with them.]

[Maybe half an hour, maybe. Battle tends to make time hard to tell.]

If it were truly important wouldn't they discuss it?

[He doesn't really know this friend stuff too well, he doesn't have much experience with it. A few months with Alibaba and them, then Judar. So he's not sure which experience is truer. He knows which he prefers.]

[He has to think about that for a moment. Though he feels like there is something they are keeping from him, he's not sure exactly what it is.]

I would think they would, probably. If it was important.

[His was hard to ignore...and he'd been confused to see Judar again so blurting happened.]

Then it's probably nothing to worry about.

[It's not like any of them died, right? Or could be seen as it anyway.]
