03 Amber | Downstream of the Boat
[For once this lanky young woman does not look like she's trying to win a staring contest with a cockatrice when she activates her amber slice. She does look sweaty and tired, but maybe that's actually helping. Behind her the mist is close, a towering wall, but the chuckle of the stream gives away her location before she can even open her mouth.]
Hey, any of you happen to be strong and willing to lend a hand? Me and Evan, [And indeed, the gawky redhead struggling to roll and heft rocks behind her happens to be in the frame as she talks,] are putting together a fish trap. I don't know about any of you but the thought of real meat that we don't have to bargain for with stone doubloons is so tempting we've been building this thing for the last couple of weeks straight.
It could use refining.
[She swings the slice around to reveal a very crude weir along one side of the stream composed entirely of raised pebbles and smooth rocks; it doesn't block the stream because Jo has noted the boat at dock just upstream of her location, but she's making a fair play at funnelling any minnows into it.]
Once we're done we just need some bait and some lucky catches. I never learned spear fishing but I'll bet some of you super freaks has a leg up on that. Come on down, huh?

[Amber: 003]
[Someone has enough energy to address the amber today! Yoshitsugu has recovered from his illness for the most part, just needing a little more rest to get his energy levels back up; right now he is in fact still in bed, lacking his usual hat but with facecloth still firmly in place. He wants to offer some advice to the tree, though considering it's him giving it? It's not necessarily offered in a straightforward way.]
The magic of this world is interesting, isn't it? And dangerous. Something to remember if you wish to take part in any future quests which lead you outside of the mist; you never know when the flow will deliver you to a malevolent being who might decide to reach deep into your heart and soul, tear at old wounds and drag your weaknesses to the surface so it might attack them in a cruel yet extremely precise way, leaving you awash in nightmares and haunted by the most painful and unsettling of memories.
[It's certainly said calmly; Yoshitsugu's expression doesn't betray much either, remaining serene except, for those really, really looking closing, when he says 'painful.' The flinch is slight, but real.]
Or you might simply have a quiet and pleasant journey.
[Moving on to better things and a more pleasant memory, Yoshitsugu relaxed against the back of his bed a little more; his smile isn't visible, of course, but the pleasure he feels when recalling this memory shows in his eyes.]
The most interesting magic was that which brought chocolate cake to us. Those of you who come from a time and place where you can eat it whenever you like are very fortunate.

[There is a very odd-looking face on the amber shards today. Young, nervous but keeping it in check, and bumpy. With little chin tendrils. He'd hide himself, but its possible that you've already seen him wandering around the second level and food branch, and also it's pretty clear that his weird appearance is not the only strange thing going on.
Weird-thing shifts around awkwardly before taking a breath to speak a bit stiffly.]

3rd Nightmare || Deaging event
[ You might recognize those particular features, they do kind of stand out, but there's something very wrong here. Instead of ash grey skin it's nut brown. Instead of slim and shadowy it's solid and more heavily muscled. But the eyes, the eyes are still just as gold...if a little confused. ]
Alright, my armor I can see stealing, and selling off. That at least has some worth. But why in the name of the stars did you steal my clothes too?!
[ That's right kids. A very long time ago, before there was a Man in the Moon, a need for things like Guardians, and before fear took over a form of it's own and walked out into the world, there was a whole other story. This is not the broken general that became Pitch Black. More like the dumb knight that ended up in Kit and Orcelito's room naked because without shadowy powers he's got no clothes. At least Kit put a blanket over his naked bum. ]
I suppose I should be grateful my necklace was spared your pilfering, but leaving a man naked but for that is odd. At any rate I want my sword back. It's impossible to sell, so just give it back and I'll see to collecting the rest on my own.
[ And that's it. No threats. No tantrums. Not even grumbling. He's so nice about it, that it's hard to believe it's the same person. ]

Food and drinks will be provided - though feel free to bring your own - and all characters are invited! However, things don't go right and Ruby ended up spiking some of the food and drinks, causing some of the characters to de-age.

( ooc: And this post announces the start of the deaging player plot! It's an opt-in event, so you can have your characters deage to any point in time either physically or both physically/mentally or not, if you want to avoid doing that. Effects are somewhat immediate, and can last as long as you want during the duration of the event, which ends on August 8th. This is also a mingle log, so feel free to thread as much as you want. And characters are free to make their own separate posts for the deaging as well! If you have any questions feel free to hit me up. )

- [ On the amber feed today, there seems to be a rather petite little girl, casually wearing her magical girl outfit that is practically trademarked for her. In the background seems to be Chime's shop, which she seems to reveal with a rather pleasant, yet timid smile. ]
... Um, good morning, everyone! As you can see behind me, Chime-san's shop seems to be open today. Apparently, I found out that one of my friend's items- [ Gil-kun's ] -seems to be in there, but it costs six stones, so we'll probably need five others, if anybody wants to chip in. It would be very helpful, and, I guess this means that Chime-san can sometimes find some of our stuff, somehow...
[ It makes no sense to her, but she'll help out as much as she can. Besides, this way she can repay her debt towards him. But before she's able to turn it offβ ]
Hi there, everyone, Ruby-san here! β Most of you probably don't think that today's a very important day because you guys don't have calendars or silly things like that, but do not underestimate the power of the Kaleidostick β
You see, by the power of Love, Magic, and Justice -- along with some Magical Ruby fortunetelling, I have found out that today is Illya-san's birthday! [ Ruby's fortunetelling is always on point, so she's never wrong. But at those words, there seems to come a yelp of surprise from Illya's end-- ]
Wait--! R, R, Really, Ruby?! [ The small Kaleidostick just laughs at Illya's panic as it gets a closeup, swinging cheerfully. ]
Ehe, don't underestimate the power of Ruby-san's fortunetelling. So, in order to celebrate Illya-san's birthday, please help out as much as you can β [ Is Ruby telling the truth...? It is a mystery. ]

- [ After all is said and done, Illya decides to go foraging for food. Only to find out that there's a huge bug in the way, trying to take the food from the food altar. This time, Illya has no plans on running away. She's not going to run away this time instead firing right in front of it (without hitting the berries) to attempt to make it shoo away. ]
Ruby, one more time..! Feuer! [ YES, WE GONNA SHOOT THIS BEETLE AWAY or kill it because we're not gonna let you get your way. Feel free to either A) assist B) get shot if the beetle dodges... ]

Welcome Back, Adventurers!
After putting the sword where it now belongs inside the life Stream, it's time for a little award, isn't it?
Appearing outside the tree after the sword has been inserted is normal-sized slice of chocolate cake, enough to feed everyone in tree and more!

JOURNEY OF TWILIGHT
The fairy ship goes by the stream in what will starts as a rocky river ride to a smoother, deeper stream further north. After a few hours, the stream opens into a large lake full of water lilies and reeds, creating a beautiful labyrinth. Here, the deep water is very clear, shimmering fish curiously following the ship.
The adventure begins!
