Warmth, love and kindness.
The Life Stream glimmers and glitters with joy, swirls of shimmering dust dancing around the ray of life.
It was time for new ones to test their wings.


One by one, new adventurers now arrive in the Tree. As one gain wings and rises to the second floor, another light brings in the next person. Soon, a steady stream of people from all kinds of worlds, times and realities come to join the others. Whether confused, angry, excited or scared, your arrival is welcomed with nothing but joy as the fireflies and glow worms descend to greet their new friends.

The Tree offers no explanation and no reason, but the truth is undeniable.

As you will soon realize, it isn't easy to be tiny.

Kaoru | Uninhabited Planet Survive

As joyous as the denizens of the tree seemed to think this occasion was, Kaoru was none too pleased. After months scraping and surviving on that planet, he'd finally been on his way home.

He drew his weatherbeaten cloak over himself, spear in one hand, with his bow and arrows carried over his shoulder. The gem was clutched tightly in his free hand hand -- the only sign of his discomfort.

...Well, that and the firefly riding on his back. What the actual hell why wouldn't it leave him alone THAT'S ALL KAORU WANTED IN THIS WORLD

Fuu's attention was immediately caught by the boy with the bow and arrows. It didn't look like the kind she had in school, certainly not as fancy as the one she'd borrowed from Presea once, rather it had a handmade sort of look to it, as did the spear. But his clothes were modern. Had he been taken from a hiking or hunting trip?

"Hello!" said Fuu, once she was close enough. "It looks like you came here well-equipped."

[Well sure, okay. She can handle the tree being ginormous; it might just be a matter of perspective, after all. Maybe she's not small, and this is just a huuuuuge tree. And anyway, she's got to master flying with her fancy new wings before she can stop to think properly about the situation in full.

Soon as she's on that second floor (after a lot of work and near collisions), however...She settles herself down right in the middle of proceedings and begins to promptly search her pockets for something.]

...--is it...Need to find stupid...Ugh! [That's not helping; she must've dropped it. Maybe someone's picked it up, or tried nicking it and she can intimidate the culprit into giving it back? Why wouldn't she have it on her person? And so, lucky you whoever you may be, here is a huge woman with a pair of glorified knuckle dusters slung around her hips, reaching out to stop whoever happens close enough by!

She, uh. She doesn't look very happy, but at least she looks more confused or frustrated than actually angry.] Oi. Am looking for whistle; little wooden thing, plays only one note. Need this.

Kaoru looked up at this stranger -- way up, actually. How tall was she?

"A whistle? For calling something?" Or maybe it was simply for alarms. In any case, he could understand how even humble personal items could hold great value for their owner.

"I haven't seen one." But he also hadn't been looking, either. "...I can help you look."

"Guess it'd be a faux pas to complain about a party in your honor, but if someone could blink me back to Falena, I'd appreciate it." Kyle was dressed in his full black-and-gold knight's uniform, sword safely sheathed at his hip. He looked a little out of place in a giant tree.

"Anyone know what's going on? I mean, I don't usually have wings sticking out of my back, and I've never seen magic like this before, either."

"You've never been to another world before?" Fuu said to the man in the... unfamiliar uniform; he looked rather like a knight if she had to guess, though she would have expected a knight to have less stunning lengthy hair. "I don't expect going back will be very easy."

She also noted his use of the words like this. Perhaps he was from a world of magic like Cephiro, Chizeta or Fahren?

Nai is startled by the unexpected change in scenery, whirling about in wonder but also looking for the company he was with just moments earlier. Once he's retrieved his gem, earned and marveled over his new wings, and fluttered up to the second floor, he trots through the mess of people in search of familiar faces. He isn't scared, despite the circumstances, but when you're persistently told to stay in sight of a chaperone, you tend to worry when that chaperone is suddenly gone. Not to mention he was just about to enter a store in a tourist city, not what appears to be the inside of an enormous tree.

He fidgets through the crowd, occasionally bumping into people or getting a face full of wings or even tripping over the feet of much taller people. Perhaps he's mistaking someone for a friend, or you catch him...talking to the fireflies? However he gets in your way, he doesn't seem excited to be here.

Kaoru naturally gravitated to Nai, who looked closer to his age than most people here. "Don't just wander around aimlessly. You'll get shoved or stepped on."

Oops. That came out a little more terse than he'd intended. He tried again. "What's your name?"

YEAH, that was the ticket, A++ social skills.

The only sign that Yuuya might not be entirely happy is in his clawed hands. They flex, opening and closing, clasping each other as he tries to get used to him. He looks very like some kind of dinosaur.

"Salutations!" he says cheerfully, head tilted. Said head is level with that of most slightly-above-average human heads in the room. He's big. "My name is Yuuya, and what is yours?"

Talking birds, you know what... Kyle could roll with that. "Me? Kyle. Or I guess you could call me Sir Kyle, if you're feeling all formal. Uh... what's up? Something wrong with your hands?"

Or claws? Maybe he should have called them claws?

Kuvira had bent openings in her armor that fit the new wings, skillfully enough that it looked like her cuirass had been made with them in mind. She's taken up a position against a wall where she can watch, green eyes steady and evaluating. It's with an effort that she isn't staring at everything - many of the people here, most of them, look like no one from any of the four nations. And these insects(?) are not familiar.

While Kuvira was staring at the others, one of the others was staring at her. A boy, maybe fourteen or fifteen years old, dressed in dark clothing except for the blue hooded mantle hanging over his shoulders. He was carrying a bow and spear, or at least those were what was visible. What a weirdo...

If she didn't notice his scrutiny, maybe he'd just come over and exchange weird terse greetings, that was always fun.

One of the few people not looking entirely out of place was the good princess herself. Fluttering about with a crystalline set of pink wings, she had gently clasped her day gem in one hand and perused the area curiously. There was a distinct lack of lava pits and koopas underfoot-- so it probably wasn't a kidnapping at the hands of Bowser himself, but a different, stranger entity. One that had given her wings. The light that filled the area was warm and welcoming, and gave her an entirely different feeling from her usual escapades. It seemed... nice for once. If she hadn't been brought against her will, she might even have been inclined to stay.

"Excuse me--" She'll approach someone cautiously, still not knowing whether they're friend or foe.

"I don't suppose you know what's going on here, do you? I simply can't stay for long."

While he could easily become a friend, Nai wasn't the best choice in figuring out the situation, but that won't stop him from trying to help. He looks up the princess and then shakes his head a few times.

"I don't know... I can't stay here either, I'm not supposed to be by myself. How do we go back home?"

Arno suspiciously came into the fray, and yes, he looked completely out of place. He observed the scene with a lot of careful hesitance. It all happened a bit too fast. Before he knew it, he was here. Before he knew it, he touched a light colored stone and got wings.

Abduction...drug induced wine...a lucid dream...

Arno was going through all of the reasons he could be here, none of which made sense to him. He went through possibly more options before he decided that this was mostly a kidnapping, and not a dream. Which didn't make anything better, worse yet, others seemed to be in the same boat.

He was trying to get some information by investigating the scene, trying to not let his wings get in the way too much. Those things were unbelievable, wow. This was all too crazy.

As more and more confused people started showing up, Korra decided she should probably head for the exit. Though it didn't look like she could go very far with that annoying mist in the way, being outside in the open air was better than cooped up in a room that was getting a little too crowded for her tastes.

As she squeezed past the people around her, she misjudged the distance, forgetting to take the new wings into account. They smacked right into Arno's face.

"Sorry...about that," Korra said, pulling a face. "These things really get in the way."

[So this should be the part where she freaks out and starts shaking people for information, and she genuinely thought about doing that. But after going through that mini break down in the gem room, where she laid on the floor and began repeatedly poking and un-poking her gem to see if touching the thing really gave her wings, she decided that she'd skip the freak out phase and head straight for the watch everyone else freak out...phase.

Cynthia seated herself on one of the near by leaves while her dragon laid down on the ground next to her. People were beginning to flood in from that gem room and goodness there were a lot of them.]

Huh...look Chompy, new friends.

[The dragon made and uninterested sound and went back to sleep. ]

Fine, I'll go make new friends, you lazy bum.

[Is that. A dragon.

Yes, it's a dragon. A strange little blue one, but nonetheless, A Dragon. But it looks like it's taking a nap, almost like a dog at the feet of its owner. Quite frankly the owner looks grumpier. So Fuu puts on a very friendly smile.]

Hello! You and your friend look as though you're new here as well.

"Look out!" The strangled cry was all the warning anyone got before Korra barreled right into them, sending her and whoever she had just gotten accidentally acquainted with to the ground.

"Ow, ow, ow, " she said under her breath as she picked herself up and brushed off the green tunic she was wearing. Then, she gave a start, the silvery-blue and translucent wings on her back flicking open, as she remembered she had just used an unfortunate bystander to stop her crash-landing.

"Sorry! I didn't think using these things would be so hard," she said, jumping back and offering a hand up. "You're not hurt or anything, are you?"

'Just my pride,' he says, without a trace of gravity, having already stood up. The section of the tree behind him took the brunt of the impact, and whatever bruises there are will heal quickly. Not every day one was barrelled into by a small hurricane of a very pretty dame, but then again, whose "everyday" involved wings?

Well, if it's a dream, it ain't half-bad. He smiles at Korra. 'Nice to meet you too.'

[She's been to a prom. Exactly one, when she was sixteen. Went through the whole process, had a nice dress, a corsage. Having to kidnap a diplomat's son sort of put a wrinkle in the evening, she supposed, but it wasn't much of an evening anyway. Mostly people just stood around and listened to the (terrible) music, once in a while someone would venture away from the herd and do a bit of unenthusiastic swaying during one particular track and then run back to the punch table when it was all over.

That's what this reminds her of. A prom. And she's entirely too old for proms, so Natasha (Anastasia this time around) heads to the nearest person and offers them a piece of bright-pink chewing gum. Providing, of course, they look or seem human enough to be able to chew it.]

Well hello, fellow kidnap victim and/or vivid hallucination. Bubblegum?

[Her accent is American. The Bronx. She's dressed in an array of casual clothes, and has her hair swept back into a messy bun at the nape of her neck. Definitely no superspies here, no sir.]

[ He's found a sturdier section of the branch at the side of the room, idly letting fireflies zip between his fingers for lack of anything to do with his hands. The jacket's peppered with already-melting snow and mud's caked on his boots, he dimly registers that he should probably clean them. Or make some kind of attempt to be a little more presentable. The wings are folded, with any luck no one saw him flinch when he first noticed them and almost draw his sidearm to get rid of the change in the air he felt, assuming it was an intrusion. ]

Hello to you too. [ he takes the gum, tips it to her in a little cheers gesture. hello fellow New Yorker ] Thanks.

[ The smile he gives her is more remembered than felt; once it cut a swathe through the WACs, now it's habit even if the sentiment is weary. ]

And here Fuu thought she had been done with being abruptly whisked away to other worlds! Lucky, she supposed, that she had been in Cephiro when it had happened: she was equipped for danger. But a hurried, frantic search for her friends and fellow world-whiskees Umi and Hikaru had turned up nothing. Using the wings to continue the search had been the best option.

What Fuu found on ascending to the next level of the tree was a whole crowd of sentient insects and sentient... other people, most of whom at least appeared to be human. No long blue hair or red tufty braids, though. Fuu sighed and clasped her hands over her chest for a moment before putting on a friendly air. The future was going to be full of strife and adventures ranging from the fascinating to the horrifying, if Cephiro was any standard to measure by, and it seemed like this crowd would be her companions.

What kind of trouble was this place in, to need so many? Why were they here? No flashes of light, no pleas for aid or quests solemnly imparted. Maybe it wasn't trouble at all. Fuu approached the nearest person with a smile on her face, as though this was a perfectly normal gathering. "Hello! I suppose you've also arrived here from another world?"

Yoshitsugu dipped his head briefly in response to the greeting, glancing over the young woman in front of him before making a response. Young was the key word here; her apparent composure considering the situation was especially impressive considering the age she seemed to be.

"Perhaps," he said eventually, tone even and calm. "I have yet to see any clues about the location of this place."

A pause, and then Yoshitsugu added:

"It is not my homeland."

Something of a charitable clarification by his standards, but he had his reasons for it.

[This is like the second time she got kidnapped this week, but honestly? Platinum couldn't care less. Well, she did at first, but that was before she grew wings. It took her a moment to figure out how to use them, of course, but she sure didn't waste her time trying them out. Because seriously, being able to fly?

Best. Day. Ever.

... For Luna, that is. Sena, Platinum's more reasonable half, had understandably a fair share of reservations in regards to using their newly acquired ability, but his protests fell on deaf ears and soon he was left hoping for the best and preparing for the worst.

And rightfully so.]

Move out of the waaaaaay!

[Hopefully you listened to the, um, "advice", because there's a young girl dressed like she jumped straight out of a magical girl anime zooming past you, obviously not quite in control of the flight. Which is only further proved once she crashes into the nearest wall and falls on the floor with a thud.]

OUCH! ... Owowow, crap, that hurts!

[Platinum sits up, massaging her head. She then lets out a sigh, speaking up in a quiet voice:]

Luna... You're going to kill us at this rate...

[That would be Sena, making yet another attempt at reasoning with his companion and thus saving themselves a possible concussion. His success ratio is questionable at best, and it doesn't look like he'll be winning this time, either; the girl jumps to her feet, dusting herself off with a confident grin on her face.]

Stop being such a wimp, Sena! Luna totally got this! Heeeereeee I goooo~!

[She'll continue her (miserable) attempts at flying, putting herself, her other half and everyone around in danger, so it may be wise to try and stop her.]

[ poor nai here is hit by a gust of wind when a young girl whizzes past him, and the sound of a crash makes him flinch before he's trotting over to where she's landed ungracefully. oh no, that must have hurt a lot! ] A-Are you okay?

[ Steven's not new to adapting to sudden magical changes in his life, however exciting or confusing they may be. And for this, he's certainly doing his best work to make no exceptions. Being welcomed with joy is a big help there. He keeps his little leaf-made bag slung over a shoulder and pockets his gem shard to ensure he doesn't accidentally drop it while he's distracted. At least the gem he was born with can't just slip through his fingers or something and vanish, jeez. Bubbling his bit of day gem didn't work, but maybe later he can poke at it and try to figure out what's up with it.

In the meantime, it's kinda cool to have wings that work- dark pink in the center and on the tips. Something nice and simple. Steven will be one of the crowd not afraid to keep giving flight another try on a whim, typically laughing as his feet leave the ground. It's entirely possible that he'll accidentally buzz along right into a collision with another new arrival, thumping back down to the ground with a startled yell. Give him two seconds, he'll apologize.

He also has little to no apprehension when it comes to approaching strangers, so it could be he's just slotted himself right into someone's personal bubble to say hello. Anybody that's particularly noticeably confused, nervous, or frightened is likely to find themselves in Steven's company at some point. Just because he can't fix everything and save the day doesn't mean he can't try to help some people feel better about being in a giant tree surrounded by glow worms.

Not that he totally gets why being surrounded by friendly glow worms and fireflies wouldn't be kind of comforting in a time like this, but that's a lot like wondering exactly why Pearl can't stand eating human food. Sometimes it's better to let people have their things.

Alternatively, just about any kind of scenario will fly. No biggie, go for it.

[ nai is one of those who steven accidentally bumps into, but fortunately the force wasn't enough to knock him off his feet. he's done his share of crashing into people and things during his time here so this isn't anything new. recipe for soreness, but not new. ] Aah!

[ when steven yells, nai jumps, but he's looking on with curiosity despite the fright. ]

Yoshitsugu was taking this with what seemed to be a considerable amount of calm. Indeed, after the initial arrival and claiming of gear, he merely leaned against one of the walls in this strange habitat and watched everyone else as they attempted to work out what, exactly, was going on.

What was visible of his face betrayed very little beyond some level of curiousity.

Inwardly, the strategist was experiencing what was, for him, the rare feeling of genuine confusion. What he'd expected he could not name, but it had not been this. This was like something out of a book of legend, the type of tale Yoshitsugu would occasionally borrow from when constructing one of the many rumours that had spread about himself over the years. The flow had an odd sense of humour, throwing him into such a story right after the grim reality of the Battle of Sekigahara.

Something nudged at his leg; one of the fireflies that had offered such a glittering and bright welcome.

Beneath his facecloth, Yoshitsugu smiled slightly to himself as he bent down to give the creature some attention. His own sense of humour was odd by the standards of most so perhaps, in some way, this was perfectly fitting.

"Best just to go with it."

Just like he usually did.

It took a long time for Takatora to notice Yoshitsugu in the gathering of people, but the moment that his eyes fell upon his dead friend recognition struck him more sharply than any knife, cleaving his soul. His pulse thundered in his ears as the rest of the room greyed out; he took an unsteady breath as he took one step closer, followed by another, and another.

What his eyes saw couldn't be true, but it was.

He felt frozen inside as he closed in, but it was a brittle coldness. He'd thought that he was coping with Yoshitsugu's death, years on from that terrible day at Sekigahara. Yet when Yoshitsugu was in his reach his internal wall of ice shattered and he felt that same agony rip through him as though it were fresh. A sob tore from his throat.

"Yoshitsugu?"

He hadn't spoken Yoshitsugu's name out loud for years. It sounded strange; devastated.

Takatora staggered one more step and curled his fingers into the material of Yoshitsugu's robes, clutching desperately. His legs went weak and he slumped to his knees, his wings trembling with the same force that his hands did. Tears began to roll down his face and he was helpless to prevent them.

"Yoshitsugu," he choked out.

He couldn't say anything more right then -- the world had shifted beneath him. All that he could do was hold on and try to breathe as a storm of emotions too great for his body battered him.

Please, he prayed. Please be real. Please don't fade.

Kit really wasn't sure what to make of this whole thing. She supposed she should really be more worried; after all, she'd apparently been either kidnapped or magicked away to a strange place in the middle of the night. But nothing about this place felt threatening. Not even vaguely grim and unwelcoming the way the Forest of Magi Oar had felt at first. It was just... strange. And confusing.

Especially the wings she'd sprouted after touching that bit of gem. Not that they weren't pretty, and that flying wasn't fun- as long as she paid enough attention to coordinate her wings and tail-, but they only added to the strangeness. Seriously how often did someone just randomly sprout wings like that? Well, apparently the answer around there was 'all the time', but aside from in this big tree? Yeah, it was weird.

At least the local creatures were friendly, even if they couldn't provide any answers either. A particularly excited glowworm had almost landed on her head when his silky thread snapped. After a moment of uncertainty- because he was still a worm, after all- Kit had knelt down to pet him and found him pleasantly fuzzy, rather than slimy like she'd expected.

Soon, she was walking around with the glow worm draped around her neck shoulders like an odd sort of scarf. First order of business; try and see if any of her friends had also been brought here, and see if she could find something to eat, since a full stomach made any situation a bit easier. Then, well... she'd have to see.

An... alien, maybe? Kaoru had a berry balanced on the palm of one hand and a firefly balanced on top of that. He'd given up on trying to shoo it away; maybe if he kept it around, he could use it to explore.

"You look pretty young." Well, Kaoru was fourteen or so himself, but still.

[After making a rather inelegant ascent to the second floor, Naotora stands amidst the crowd of arrivals looking completely and utterly out of her depth. Her wings, if they're meant to be any sort of reflection of her character, suggest someone who's about to start blushing and rhapsodizing in girlish glee about the wonder of this all.

And then a firefly gets too close.]

Wh-what do you think you're doing?! Is this your doing? DO YOU DARE CHALLENGE NAOTORA?!

[The wings say one thing. The huge sword she's just drawn and is pointing at the bug suggests something else entirely. And speaking of suggesting, someone might want to point out that there really isn't enough space to be swinging that thing around right now.]

"Hey, take it easy on the insect population," said Kyle, tipping Naotora a quick smile in hopes that she wouldn't start some kind of bug massacre.

"I don't think he's the one responsible." His own sword was sheathed at his hip, and he hoped things would stay that way.

[At first, he'd attributed this whole thing to some weird spell the midget threw his way, but the more time he spends here, the more it becomes obvious that something even weirder is at work. There's no spell he knows of that could do this and there's no one but him left who should know of one (except maybe that old relic Yunan, whose work this still could possibly be, dammit.) The wings are especially weird. He can't even conceive of what magic would make something like that possible.

Worse still is that stupid light.

He's been sitting cross-legged in front of the Life Stream ever since he made it to the second floor, staring up at it with a look of consternation on his face as fireflies buzz around his head. He can recognize it for what it is, but the fact that it doesn't recognize him is confusing and more distressing than he's willing to admit. It doesn't even annoy him, which white Rukh almost always does. All in all, he looks rather pissy for someone sitting so close to something that instills everyone who views it with calm.

The goddamn fireflies aren't helping. He lifts his wand wordlessly and encases one of them in ice, leaving it to clatter to the ground as a warning to the rest of them.]

Piss off, would you?

[ little nai was unfortunate enough to witness the small block of ice fall to the floor, and it's only when he stares hard enough that he realizes one of the glowing balls of light is trapped inside. he may not know their name but he's aware they're animals of some sort and animals shouldn't be trapped in cold ice! so he's trotting forward and kneeling down to pick it up. ] Ah...!

Link | Legend of Zelda; Twilight Princess

There were people here who weren't handling their sudden disappearance well and there were others who took to it like a fish to water. Link seemed to have happily found himself in the latter group.

... To say it was 'fortunate' might be a matter of opinion.

Already dressed in the forest green of the Hero and with his own gemstone tucked away in the items pouch at his side, he looked a little out of place in this place without any wings to flaunt. Honestly, after he'd figured out how to fly ('Just because your shape has changed doesn't mean your instincts have as well!') Link had just assumed that losing contact with the gem would do something about his appearance. After all, the magic looked and felt enough like the Shadow Crystal that the Ordonian was more surprised by the fact that it was a pair of wings rather than a beast form that afflicted him upon contact.

Still disconcerting, for sure, but Link really, really appreciated this place letting him keep his thumbs.

Which was why he wasn't struggling with his wings as he poked his head into each individual house on the first floor on the survey for pots to break housing or perhaps just being curious about who might have been living here. Hopefully he hasn't interrupted any of his fellow new arrivals...!

Kyle just managed not to run into Link as he pulled the door open from the inside of one of those houses on his way out. "Whoa! Sorry, buddy, didn't mean to get all up in your face there. Hey, don't they teach you elves how to knock?"

Like what if Kyle had been some lady undressing, was Link going to take responsibility for that.

He wants to fly, believe me. Mario is the sort of man who finds a great deal of joy in that sort of thing, whether it be by cape or feather. He'd be fine with wings too, so long as they were stuck on his cap and not his back. But unfortunately, none of those things seemed to be working in his favor at the moment.

You see, Mario is a man on a mission. Right now, that mission is finding out just what is going on here. As quickly as he can, he darts around from person to person, makes some small talk and then proceeds to politely excuse himself. It's not that he isn't friendly, in fact, it's quite the opposite! But he's very busy at the moment, and there's just no time for him to stop and chitchat.

"Hello!" Mario approaches people with the same joy and optimism that you'd expect from him. "Can you-a tell me how to find the nearest Warp-a Pipe outta here? I'm-a kind of in a hurry!"

"Pipe?"

Though the word comes out more mouthed and mimed than anything else with how quiet Link is in comparison to everybody else. He hasn't seen pipes of any sort around here! But then, if this man was so urgently looking for them...

"N-no? Not... yet." Again, too quiet, though the way he puts his hands up and shakes his head is more than enough indication. "I can help you look...?"

He's in no hurry to leave, himself, but it would be useful to find a way out of here all the same, he figures. Zelda would start to worry if he was gone too long, right?

[ Being a Sinner meant that one had to adapt quickly. Very quickly. It takes her less than a minute to realize that no one else had Accessories in this place - and that this isn't her Panopticon anymore. She was somewhere else. The Casket, perhaps? Was this another quest that Simeon had given her? Possibly. Then, there probably is something she needs to do here.

Her wings are folded against her back, obscuring a black box strapped to her waist - but what would draw the most attention would be the red-coloured coil on her left arm. There is a man with ice-white hair beside her, who looks human except for the fact that he is approximately three-fourths her size.

She seems to be spacing out for now, simply staring at the glow-worms and fireflies floating around. One even lands on her non-Thorn arm, which she then raises to eye level and inspects. ]

Ramiel, scan it.

[ The man beside her is silent for approximately three more seconds before he replies. His voice is fluid, but evidently synthesised. ]

Carbon-based lifeform detected. Classification unknown.

[ If it means something to her, her face doesn't show it. ]

[ For someone who has wings, she isn't quite inclined to rely on them completely. She can be found zipping around the tree using her Thorn as a grapple, propelling herself from wall to wall with startling efficiency. Once in a while she would use her wings, but they are used more to give her extended airborne time than anything else.

She is quite fast, so there will be a chance of colliding if you don't move out of her way quickly enough.

Ramiel is on the ground, jogging to keep up with her. He seems to be able to navigate the tree despite having his eyes to the sky all the time. ]

[ It's taken her quite a while to get oriented around the place, and - it is tiring, honestly, especially for a person who was grabbed right in the middle of a mission. And since she is so very used to minimalist efficiency, she just crashes straight onto the floor. Her belongings are in her Will'O Drive, used as a simple makeshift pillow. Granted, it is an out-of-the-way section of the corridors, but it is on the floor nevertheless.

As usual, Ramiel keeps watch. And by that, he simply stares at her while she sleeps.

It's totally not creepy, okay.

[Hey, Wyrden. That's a pretty good idea you have of not worrying with these weird new body parts and just rattling around the tree off your own power. Surprisingly, Chora's had it as well just...Minus the fancy tech assistance. She's been slower in getting places given that she's been trying to scale the tree's interior with just her bare hands, but.

She's managed to find herself a neat little perch up near the Lifestream hole in the roof of this floor, and is currently, uh. Dangling off of it via her powerful legs. Is it cheating when she's clumsily flapping her wings to try and keep aloft? Probably. But the point is she's there, and she's watching quietly until they're close enough that she doesn't have to yell.]

...Exercising boyfriend, hm? Good way to manage them; will have to think of this in future. [And just to emphasise her point, she points dramatically down at Ramiel, before cheerily waving at him. Haha, suck it wingless wonder.]

Also: As it became evident that there wasn't going to be a quick way out of this, Yuuya elected to claim one of the little houses on the lower floor. The upper housing-floor was colder, which didn't bother him, and the hole in the great chamber's ceiling was webbed up and probably had something on the other side, which did, a bit. People would have to resign themselves to sleeping sooner or later, and he wanted to be lower.

...his choice did bother him, slightly. But he had poor eyesight in the dark, and his weaponry of any strength depended on his eyesight. If there was a giant spider there, and in the night it unhooked its web, there was nothing he would be able to do. From down here there would at least be some options.

So, feel free to come into one of the houses and see a giant pigeon lounging around, probably preening or fiddling with a smartphone.

Yuuya wasn't the only one who'd opted to go looking for a place to bed down for the night when it became clear that they weren't going to get out of there before dark. Still when she entered the little house to check it out, she didn't expect to find it already occupied.

"Ah!", she said. "Sorry, I didn't know anyone was in here. Is this your place?" This could only be the bird Kaoru had mentioned. Kit just hoped he was nicer than the birds she'd met back home.

This wasn't the first time Gohan had been taken somewhere completely foreign to him, and he doubted it would've been the last. However, if there was anything about this situation that truly worried him, it was the amount of people that were seemingly in the same situation as him. He could handle being stuck in a strange new location, even if his powers had been tampered with in some way. But given how many people were here... he had to wonder just what the point of it all was supposed to be.

Because it certainly wasn't clear, that was for sure.

Rather than stick around and try and be social, Gohan decided to go somewhere a little less crowded. Before he could even think about helping anyone, he needed to know the current extent of his abilities. Slipping into one of the empty rooms, Gohan flew out the balcony, buzzing around the outside of the tree. The area was spacious, less crowded...

In other words, it was perfect.

Should anyone make their way outside the tree, they'll find Gohan wearing the business casual clothes he came in with. Showing an astounding level of mastery over his wings, as he alternated between different ways to test his ki for abnormalities. He could either be powering up, firing ki blasts into the fog, or practicing his martial arts with dizzying speeds. Either way, it was obvious that he was focused, because there was definitely something different about his ki, and he was determined to find out what it was.

When Korra finally managed to escape the first floor and find her way outside for some space, she wasn't completely surprised to find the area already occupied by someone else. The room had been a little too crowded for her, and for many others, she suspected.

Had this been three years ago, when Korra was in top form, she might have felt inclined to join him in his practice, but now, she simply kept out of his way. Korra flew over to another branch with more determination than skill, and sat down to watch him, taking note of his form and power.

After a while, Gohan might notice her studying him closely.

There was a lot to take in at once, and only half of it had to do with the new appendages sprouting from her back. The interior of the tree was literally buzzing with activity, a sea of unfamiliar faces in various stages of confusion, anger, or even excitement. It was all too much for Zelda to handle. She sought an escape as soon as she could find an opening that allowed her to exit the tree. Teetering on beautiful, but uncertain wings, Zelda fluttered onto one of the tree's massive roots.

She drew in a long, deep breath. The temperature outside the tree was brisk, but not entirely unpleasant, and brought with it a welcome level of quiet. With careful concentration, Zelda managed to fold her wings closed on her back. They still twitched a bit at random, but they were a bit more obedient now than when she first picked up her gem.

To her left, a firefly alit on a squat, round mushroom. Zelda regarded it with a smile. "If only you could teach me your secrets, little friend. I wobble like a toddler on these wings."

Link had a lot of talents; one of which was taking to whatever task was given to him like a duck took to water. It was... Strange.. Malo had remarked on it once how he had used the Hero's Bow with the skill of a man with many years more experience when he had never so much as seen a bow before. But it was useful and Link didn't have the luxury of asking why this was possible (and a part of him suspects that the Spirits will be less than helpful if he ever got around to asking them about it). Which was why - while awkward - he had taken to moving around the tree with relative ease. At the very least, he'd stop randomly losing altitude when flying about.

Which didn't explain why he was down at the entrance again. Maybe he was tired of accidentally walking in on people in their homes?

He wasn't planning on going out (yet) but the sound of a familiar voice just barely audible caught his attention. So, with a bit of caution and a healthy dose of curiosity, Link moved forward to take a look at who was here. But, with Zelda atop a root and Link still on the ground, coupled with him just being a little absent minded, the Hero didn't immediately realize the Princess was here.

He is without his wings though, having taken to storing away his gem when it wasn't in use much like how he did with all his equipment. He had sworn he had heard someone though... Was his mind playing tricks on him?

[The newest arrival would not stop giggling. While others may have been concerned by their current predicament, Agitha was reveling in it. She was surrounded by the welcome wagon of glowing bugs, petting each one on their heads. They were even cuter close up! What a wonderful treat this all was!]

Oh! Don't worry, little ones, there will be plenty of hugs for all of you!

[And when she's not fawning over glow worms, she's fluttering around with her new wings like it's no big deal. How is the ten year old better at this than everyone else?]

[Well, alright then. This was the first person that really set off some alarms in Arno's head. This person looked like she was written for this world. A child fairy of the forest and her little bug friends.

Like those silly childhood stories he would always see in the study when he was a small, small boy. It was like Arno had to look to those days to find anything resembling what could pass off as useful knowledge within text. What could be the most help to him now, at least. No, he grew to read far too much adult literature to recall even too much of those days.

What was she doing then? Hugging the bugs? She was in such a cheerful mood that it was so out of place for even here. When she would've fluttered on over to the next bug like some easy task, maybe soon enough she would be close enough that it could sprout a curious conversation.]
